I'm going to be ready to tackle that once in a life time bolt that needs 270 degrees of offset access :bounce:

Finally a practical solution to those bolts that once you stick your ratchet on there, you can no longer see what the hell it is you're turning. Now you'll be able to go down, around and back up so you can see exactly wuzt up

I love it!

So last weeks purchase made it in today. Man I can't wait to play with it I also added the static switch mod and the wire tappers along with the kit. I sure could have used this a month or so back when I was totally rewiring a genIII hemi. After splicing and dicing the entire harness I wanted to be absolutely sure everything was good to go before plugging in the PCM and firing the motor.

So for powering up the injector and coil packs, this sure beats the hell out of cobbling together alligator clips , needles and a battery

I've wanted one of these for years. So much better than a J roller for laminate and veneers.

I might have to get me one of those rollers. I do a decent amount of laminate work. The jrollers all feel flimsy. I have some weird multi roller thing I found in lowes the other day. Don't really that either. That nifty sable block roller might do the trick.

I've been using my coworkers and finally decided I needed my own. It's worth every penny.

Oh great timing! Was just going to order one, but was on the fence. I think now I'll drop the coin on one.

here is a few more pics, looking at it now, really pleased with how well the bit fits in the handle, no wiggle or movement at all, and just noticed that it is adjustable in length

I really like the bit retention, very solid feeling. Klein could have made it so much easier to carry around and use though by having a rotating collar under the release mechanism with pins that only when rotated to the right place you can release the bit.

I think yesterday was the last day of the sale at Tool topia. But maybe I'm wrong. I posted just the basic PP III on sale last week for $89.00. The more I looked at getting all the toys along with the tool this kit made better sense. Basically it gave you all the extra stuff other then the wire probes at a price that you got an almost free multimeter. I really didn't need another one but since it only cost me a extra $10 for a meter I figured then why not. At least I can stop busting out my high dollar fluke stuff for automotive work.

Btw, that kit was on sale for $149.

Edit, I just checked and it's still on sale. It's the best price I could find and free shipping.

Darn too bad I missed out. Was going to buy the PP III Master kit on Amazon but the price was $275 now I think it's over $300...

New to me, Grizzly Industrial dust collector. 1HP, made in 1991. All it needed was to have the power switch cleaned out. Now to get some replacement hose and hook up my whole shop dust collection setup!

unnamed.jpg

Nice! Now all you need is a perfect binder to attach to it. What is that you might ask? We had one of those type of dust collectors mounted to a Baby Pony perfect binder in the print shop I retired from. The top rotated slowly counterclockwise with clamps into which a worker at approx 2:00 position places a collated book. The clamp grabs it and it rotates to a milling station approx 12:00 into which the dust goes into the collector. Then it rotates over a hot glue pot approx 9:00 which applies hide glue to the spine via a roller. At approx 7:00 the slanted table pulls one cover off the stack and presses it onto the book. At approx 5:00 a table rotates at the same speed as the table and squeezes the cover on. At approx 4:00 the book is released. To operate, you need a feeder, a cover 'monitor', and a catcher. You also need people to continuously supply the feeder with more books and to re-supply the glue pot and covers. Always made for a great afternoon of conversation with the whole shop working it as long as you paid attention. The clamping table offered NO forgiveness. A friend had his four fingers under it when the table rotated up and it messed him up for a long time.

Emptying the dust bags always covered you in paper dust so much you looked like a ghost.

Are those the 7" Knipex Cobras and Pliers Wrench? They are the bomb. I have the 10" of both as well, and they're great, but the 7" pair slips right in your pocket. I carry those two in my back pocket and use them for everything. I can handle 75% of the calls in the plant with those two and a 10 in 1 screwdriver

Yes they are amazing paired up. And yes 7inch. Got other sizes too. Im do the same but i grab the 10inch pliers wrench/cobra. Dont go anywhere without them. I do love the size of the 7inch though. Very rarely touch any other pliers. And dont even have an adjustable at work anymore.

Wilde punch set was 10.99 and the socket was like 5.49 or something. Needed to finish the skips in my HF 1/2 impacts, but got to walking around and found tons of other great tools. Punches, Knipex pliers, lots of good stuff.

I Broke my cheap Pittsburgh 2lb dead blow. Was just gonna toss it but noticed it had a lifetime warranty, so headed to the local HF to swap it out. Super painless and brought home 2 more. I love snap on stuff, but for 8$ for 2lb dead blow with lifetime warranty, Im good with it.

For what ever reason, this brings me immense satisfaction. I have always wanted a regulated power supply in the garage and I guess I just got tired of dragging out a car battery for the last time.

Up to 32 Volts DC and 5 amps regulated. :) NICE!

Thanks. :) The power supply did have me looking at used oscilloscopes as well. But I can't justify the cost to the amount of times that I would actually use it. Even the 2-channel ones that I was finding at around $100 were falling into my "Would I ever use it?" column.

Your DC power supply and your meter are at a disagreement on Voltage.

shorter leads would make it right. :)

OK ... I did not pay a high dollar amount for the power supply and it's basically off .02 volts on the high and low side of it's range. I can live with that though.

lol ... The fluke probably reads 11.999999999999999volts if it has higher precision readout.

Another box arrived! Not expecting a lot from the caliper my Starrett etc are probably a million times more accurate. However, I wanted one to play around with. And for $25, a 4 1/2 star Amazon average with 400 reviews it seemed to be the better cheap digital. We shall see.

And a little 12v 3/8 Makita impact wrench. My first foray into Makita 12v. I have a bunch of their 18v stuff. And some 12v Bosch. 431de5d05eeb091bfcadb961cda13082.jpg7df6b166a140c8e25fab79efd26c4401.jpg

Going to be starting a rebuild on my 5.4l 3v Triton engine this weekend. These will come in handy. My rep at Grainger sent me a free Stoddard resistant pump to make up for a bad snafu on their end a month or so ago. Put that on it do a little wiring for the fuseable link and good to go.

Thanks! Individual tap & dies above m12 and 1/2 get expensive and I've only got a few select machines that need it so hopefully this will be worth its weight in gold
