My Toyota made by Hino in Japan and imported to the US will outlast any piece of mexican made US car out there. I won't think about anything when I get into it except how happy I am I'm not going to have to pull over and call a tow truck.:lol_hitti

How did I know that you drive a japanese car? :headscrat

Keep justifying your choice to yourself - good luck!

You'll never convince me ....

By the way, what was the title of this thread? Oh yea - REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR

It's not hard, everyone in the US has one practically unless you live in the sticks which I'm thinking you do since you're so stuck on Japan still being the enemy. That being said I have a 56 Chevy and 2 mustangs as well so try again.

No need I don't have any bias toward Japan so I can make a clear choice.

Well that's too bad. Ignorance is bliss.

Yeah let's get back to that, we don't need racist comments or japan bashers in here.

You don't have to make your font bigger to prove your point either. :headscrat

Why can't we all just get along???

Joe

Sorry, I'm trying but it seems like there is always someone who wants to stir up something in a thread. I could care less what a guy drives. I buy what I like and want. I only started this thread to comment about how little Pearl Harbor day is remembered these days.

Agreed. The fact that there are different kinds of folks from all over is one of the things that makes this board great.

.......their cowardly sneak attacks.....

It is war. It is called a surprise attack. The US do plenty of that. Do you think the US is that stupid as to inform the Iraqi that the US will attack them at this time and place? That is how the US wiped out the Iraqi air force in the first day of war.

....I get into one of my American trucks every day - the profit from all of them went to an AMERICAN corporation.

Are you sure about that. Most GM vehicles are just rebadged Asian and European vehicles (Toyota, Daewoo, Subaru, Holden, Opel, Vauxhaul) where engineering is done in those countries. GM use Honda gasoline and Isuzu diesel (truck) engines and Toyota transmission. Some GM engines are assembled in China. Buicks are now engineered in China. They use global components and assemble vehicles outside the US. The Chevy Volt use LG (Korean) battery and electric motor. Fuel cell version of the Volt will use LG fuel cell. GM opened a fuel cell research center in China several year ago. This is also true for Ford and Chrysler. Do you think most of the money go to the American economy? I think not. If it cost $20K to built a vehicle, probably 80% of that go to foreign economies. If I remember correctly, GM has not made a profit in decades.

....Oh, one more thing - Mitsubishi manufactured those Zeros that attacked Pearl Harbor .....

Mitsubishi still manufactures vehicle and fighter planes. They also built major component for US rockets like the Delta IV. Mitsubishi is currently bidding to build US nuclear powerplants. Some Chrysler vehicles are rebadged Mitsubishi. Some Mitsubishi are rebadged Chrysler.

Hey - look what crawled out of the wood pile!

Is that what you are teaching in the classrooms in Japan these days?

If you are here in the USA (which I kind of doubt, based on your avatar), you had better be damn glad that we won the war. I'm pretty sure that our "allies" had a different plan in mind than rebuilding the US if they had been victorious. Thank God they weren't.

Everyone in the US does NOT have a Japanese car. My dad has never had one, my wife and I have never had one, and most of my friends have never had one. We live in the suburbs, not sticks. And yes, I still see Japan as the enemy, just as many people consider Nazis to be their enemy.

Are they real American cars?
