my earlier-posted miter saw cabinet / stand in its new home. Just put that shelf / workbench setup in my nephew's garage this past weekend

No the sticks aren't crooked, that's just a shaky panorama pic

The bench actually didn't take that much effort, mostly just letting paint dry. The 1x3's were the same dimension as the original boards, just had the cut the 8' in half and sand. Also routed a nice edge on the front board & very top one.

Nice work, looks great, but don't think I'm going to show those pics to the wife just yet. :D

assembled my halloween stuff. I know it is late, but i normally like to put it all up the day before halloween so as not to "lose" anything to local asshats that like to just take things that dont belong to them.

Took two hours of leave and headed to the shop. Started looking over this press. It's wired 240 three phase and the motor is a 5hp, Milwaukie H-22 hydraulic cylinder, 4" bore, 20" stroke, 3000 psi. Hoses look ok, table plate is 2" thick.
8ft tall, 3 ft wide, 1ft deep.

Blew leaves out of the top story gutter (no leaf guards...) and off the roof valleys, and off the screen room roof. (Cant leave them on that roof or they compost and it leaks...)

Then raked and blew then away from the slider to the screen room (almost three feet deep...), Than I had a much needed shower!

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today?

After some great advice from this forum, finished disassembly and cleaning of my second of three valve body assemblies.

Now to clean up the spools and springs and put this piece back together.

Edit: I never did get the tubes out of this piece, but I was able to verify the passages were clear and just supported the piece on some wood blocks when it was right side up (tubes down).

Beautiful restoration bud. But will you dare ever use it now, it's way too good-looking....?

I have no problems at all with using it and an extra can of the paint in case it ever needs a refresh again [emoji1303]

I've got way too many half projects going on and it's driving me nuts, going forward I'm doing on, completing it and then moving onto the next...lol

Wrapped my ford rangers door pulls in 3m 1080p. By far the hardest part I've ever done because of the complex inner/outer curve. I wasted 60 bucks worth of vinyl thinking I could have done this by myself and throwing out all the wasted product. Had my wife help me this time and control the heat gun while I positioned and applied it. Went way smoother. Re-doing my driver side since I am not happy with it.

Then installed my Giro Disco rotors on the STi. Almost too nice to put on honestly. They are so nice to look at. Taking off oil pan hopefully this weekend so I can do the oil pickup assembly. Damn car has been on the lift for a month now because I keep getting other projects to do or waiting for a part here, then break something and have to order another part...etc.

More drudge work: Yesterday it was shred the leaves from the day before, today it was leaf blow the remnants out close to the back fence (less to track), and side yard leaves into piles...

Why all this yard work? 'Cause "Winter is coming!" (Rain Anyway...)

Continuing progress on my 1991 Land Cruiser transmission rebuild. Finished the lower/main section of the valve body and put all the rebuilt sections back together. Well over 150 pieces in this deal. Whew!

Now every major transmission component has been rebuilt, along with starter, driveshafts, engine oil pan and rear main seal.

Almost time to start putting the transmission proper back together, pick up the torque converter, and find those couple of annoying plastic toyota harness clips that crumbled apart and don't seem to have part #'s.

Southern part of a very corrupt state
Installed a 5kw heater 220v 30a breaker, #10 Rolex and 24" of liquitight conduit.
Hung it under the mezzanine between the two million pads
Stored some stuff in the mezzanine.
Put a 2pole breaker type surge suppressor in my Square D panel, to protect all my electronics.
Hung 2 posters on the outside bathroom wall

Worked on the bows for my tonneau cover. Apparently, the plastic ends have broken off the bows resulting in one of them falling off into the bed and the middle bow coming out of place.

I cut some aluminum flat bar and riveted it place allowing the bows to hopefully stay put.

Edited to add a picture.

Finally taking some me time from work so basically started clearing out some scrap cutoffs from yard projects to cut shorter for the garbage bin. Now since the Better half has said my *** is not to move from the couch all weekend I am sketching out the basement development. And fining the fixtures etc I want as that's my other space of this place.

Now she's saying ****, what did I do?

How much lighter are they than stock?

Or on that vehicle is the benefit something else?

Besides looking bad *** and being two piece. The front rotors weigh about 16.5lbs compared to about 20.5lbs stock. Most of the weight is reduced from the hats. Rear rotors are 11lbs compared to stock 18lbs.

Total weight from all rotors is about 21lbs of rotating mass. Ideally I should just turn this into a track car and gut most of the interior and **** that isn't needed but.... I did that with my track bike and now face the reality of trying to find the parts that were removed to sell it back as a "street" bike...total pita..lol
