Not to steal, but why do tstats go bad........or whats the lifespan on these?
It seems like my furnace is running more often, than it did last year........and the tstat seems to not be hold the proper temp
RH W you might also needed the G...
Y is usually AC
G is usually the FAN
dependents on what your furnace is..... THere might be a T and T you can just jump at the control....
G is ground. TT at the heater eliminates thermostat and wiring up to tstat.

Like most things today. They are put together in sweat shops in China or whatever 3rd world co. Is low bidder. The old mercury tstats last forever.

you know those are just relay contacts...
if the OP wants to test the thermostats. All he have to do is turn up the heat and check for 24Vac between W and C.

the old mercury tstats do last forever....just clean the dust bunny's off the bulbs and they even stay calibrated...
to eliminate any guess on either stat or wire run ....you could go to unit low voltage terminal board(if it has one) and jump out r to w..that way you can make your checks as it runs...
