For some,(including me), its sometimes hard to see what youre
doing. STECK BODY TOOLS has the answer!
This light mounts on your torch & provides a
great deal of light just where you need it.

I have bought many items from them for the towing industry,
and have always been very happy with thier products, customer
service & how they stand behind thier products. STECK is an
outstanding company, providing outstanding products & service.

I bought one years ago and while I like the idea, I could never get the light to shine EXACTLY where I needed it. I have since just adapted to using one hand to hold a light and the other to weld.

I got one of those on my mig. It’s nice when you’ve flipped the lid and getting lined up, but once the arc is struck it just blends in. The clamp idea is just that an idea. I ended up using a couple of zip ties to keep it attached.

I favour a good quality head band light fastened to helmet. Your illuminated view is always following the mig. Optometrist told me my vision is not worse just that the older we get the more light required. I also use a cheater lens in hood..
The only other alternative is working outdoors in natural light and closer to the sun.

I use a couple 500 watt halogens, on on each side, to light up the work surface. Also used cheater lenses and have a set of bifocals with the near view at the top. Depending on cost I'd give the OP's light a try.

I've added this little harbor freight LED head lamp to two of my helmets. It puts bright light right where I need it. For under $5, its hard to beat.
