$12 & $10 at my closest store, I'll probably keep an eye on them as it never hurts to have an extra light stored away in the truck.

As for coupons... Once in the past when part of my order couldn't be filled, they just removed that item + the coupon % of that value... i.e. like if I used a $15 off $50, and I bought $50 worth of stuff, but $10 was unable to be filled instead of me getting the full $15 off the balance of the items I instead only got only $12 off.

I find that online receipts (especially emailed ones) can be very quirky... Best to just wait till the final receipt comes through and / or the CC charge posts, then you can talk to customer service if there is an issue.

On my receipts there is always a portion of the discount divided amongst all of the items. If an item was returned you received a credit for the amount of that item And only that portion/percentage of the credit was removed.

There’s only 2 stores in Michigan that have them in stock for around that price. Everywhere else either out of stock or price is 339

If you guys want some gossip-

As you guys know I place like 20 lowes orders a day so i have a good feel on what they are doing. About 3 weeks ago they updated their computer system from the 1980's to a new one that looks very modern.

The problem is there was very little training. One guy at each store was trained in the system, but if that person is off then the cashiers dont really have a resource to talk to, is my experience.

A lot of cashiers are very confused by the system and something that used to take 5 mins now takes 20 mins.

I have noticed if I place an order for store pickup it is often auto cancelled and the store says they never got it. But if I place an identical order with no coupon, it goes through fine. So i've stopped using coupons, dont need them anyway and it just complicates things.

Lowe's used to show the total price of an order on the 'ready for pickup" and "your order has shipped" emails, but now they dont.

Lowe's used to include invoices in the shipped packages. About 50% of the packages I recently got had no invoice. Maybe this was an accident, i dont know. But it seems very shady.

I have also heard from a CSR that they no longer charge your CC when you place the order. Lowes used to immediately charge your CC when you placed an order, even if you picked it up a week later. I was told by a CSR they no longer do that and only charge when you pick it up/shipped.

I have also noticed if you dont pickup an item in store within a week they send you followup emails to remind you, which can be annoying.

So the bottom line is I would double check everything. If you use a coupon make sure your CC is charged the amount it should be. If you place an online order for store pickup, if its not ready within a couple hours I would call a store to verify they got your order and everything is good. If you really want something dont use a coupon until lowes fixes their ****.

On a personal note, it amazes me lowes would push through the biggest update in their computer system in 30 years right before black friday. It's completely moronic. You dont change your computer system near black friday if you are a retailer. You change it in February when stores are very quiet. I doubt they will fix all these issues before black friday, and I expect big SNAFU's and a lot of upset people this xmas.

So very true! Took forever to get my internet order. Really nice store associate, but couldn't find the stupid key to print out & confirm pickup of my light.

Yep, my old company took it to the NEXT level.
The went on an auto replenishment inventory/stock system managed by new software . . . and then laid off the IT staff two weeks be it went on line.
So maybe Lowes is planning on reducing their IT Staff, two weeks before Christmas?

RE: Its Friday gossip.
The update you are talking about took place earlier this year in my area. I cannot speak for all 50 states, so I can only assume that it is being rolled out regionally.
It was very confusing for the cashiers in the beginning, but now they seem to be adjusting to it.

That is exactly what I was thinking as I read your post. But then again, when I used to work for Verizon you wouldn't believe how much **** they pushed to production right before 3-day holiday weekends... and guess who was the sucker that was on-call and had to go into work to fix it.... :willy_nil

Yeah. I was rambling about how terrible Lowe's is.

I ordered a fridge from this black friday sale. Not a bad price. But they called me and said "sorry about what the website says, but we don't actually have one in stock. It'll take 7-10 days to come from the warehouse."

So imagine my surprise when two days later some guy calls me and says he has my delivery from Lowes and that he'll be here in 30 minutes.

The $999 black friday stainless counter depth fridge is a *************, by the way. The compressor was held to the frame with threadless bolts which were pinned with metal washers and metal pins. The racket those things made before I opened it up and shimmed them with plastic. The compressor is still really loud.

And, yeah, they charged me a higher sales tax for it for no apparent reason. They owe me like $10. Shitheads.

Some states charge an additional tax as a white goods disposal fee. It's not a separate line item in most stores. I found this out at a Sears outlet store, so it's not just Lowe's.

If you guys are still looking for pliers, this lowes has these pliers for $5.40 with free shipping. Looks like only 7 left so if you want some I would order quick. Limit 1 but you can place several orders for shipping.

E. Chandler Lowe's

Is there a way to know which stores do parcel shipping for a specific product ? Most of the stores I check that they only do delivery vs shipping. Which costs $59.

Only way I found was add to your cart, then view cart & look at shipping / pickup options. :(

I am very impressed with the one I am using. The light is made by CREE. The only negative is it's made in China, but in this case the quality looks very good.

Can you still get a 10% off at the post office in their change of address packets?

No, they don't put them in the packets anymore. You have to fill out a change of address online and then you eventually get a welcome packet mailed to you. I did a couple change of addresses when I moved, but only got one of the packets with the 10% off...

It's just easier to use online codes and do store pickup. Or if you are buying something expensive you can just ask the associate if they would give you a 10% discount for purchasing it today.

Anyone think theres a chance Lowes does 10% sitewide on web for CM like they did on prime day, or did they not like how that worked out stacking with coupons...

I just did this and Yes there was a Lowe's 10% off in the packet, and also once you get done filling it out online I was able to print a second 10% off coupon.

Hmm.. interesting... Last time I went to the post office and got one of those packets it wasn't inside... Guess I might have to ask for another one of these days maybe they put them back in?

The only post office coupons that have Lowe's in them are over 2 years old. They changed it 2 years ago for one year it was Best Buy and then the following year it went digital. If your post office is in the middle of nowhere and nobody asked for the moving coupons then they will have them because they're two years old.

Go online and fill out the form, you will get a packet mailed to you plus be able to print about 10 different coupons from the online form. It costs $1 or so to fill it out online, but the amount I saved was way more.
