I have a 30x34 pole barn with double bubble insulation and looking for options for electric heat. Last year i used a 220v mini space heater fan and a portable kerosene heater when i worked on my projects on the weekends. The kerosene heater starting smoking one day and didn’t like that, since then i have thrown that out to the trash. I don’t have gas option to the shop, just electric. Anyone recommend a good electric heater. Just looking to take the chill off on a cold oklahoma day. As long as i don’t see my breathing while working i will be happy lol

Also I have tried propane heater but had a headache after 30mins of using it.

I bought a 20 kw used electric forced air furnace for a house. Disconnected 3 banks and run it on 5kw. Works great. It moves the air around a lot so it heats evenly and better than a small 5kw heater imo

I have looked on Craigslist for used heater but no luck lately. Came across electric heater from tractor supply that heats 500sq ft. Figured I might try two of them if no one has any recommendations

I've got the 7500W ProFusion heater in my large single car garage. It's decently insulated and that heater works great. Usually I run it about half dial on cold days and it keeps it nice in there when I'm working. I just want it to be 50-60 degrees so I don't sweat but don't get cold.

I'd say you could run two 5000W heaters. They're very cheap and easy to set up, plus they take up almost no space. I love that the electric ones are about half the size of a gas one.
