Did some repairs and maintenance to my vintage German Cuckoo Clock. :)

Cleaned off my winter windshield for my Harley that I'll bolt on tomorrow in prep for riding to an AMCA chapter meeting on Sunday.

Also packed up some more tools and collectibles for a move to the Jersey Shore area after the Holidays.

What part of the Shore? My brother and I have a cottage in Ocean Beach, just north of Lavalette.

I bought these four 2015 Ram 1500 20 inch wheels off Craigslist and brought them into the shop. Tomorrow I will give the wheels a good cleaning and put them away until we need them. The wheels are for a 1952 IHC pickup that is being converted to 4X4. We are using 1997 Ram 1500 solid DANA 44 axles.
the engine is a Cummins 4bta with an automatic.
These wheels have a positive offset. This should keep the tires under the fenders.
My son wants this IHC to be painted a Mustang retina burning red with the running boards, bumpers, Dashboard, interior trim and seat rails in Ford Argent (silver)
I mill out the IH centre caps to fit these wheels and replace the ram's head.
The wheels have less than 1000 kilometers on them and should match the argent trim.

Now there's a build I'd love to follow!!!

Colder than a well digger's @$$! But I started installing insulation for the perimeter of the slab.

Coming from the North Jersey (Sussex) area, I call it the Jersey Shore area but its actually Manchester Township which is 20 miles west of Seaside Hts.

Finished up a 46RE overhaul. (Dodge transmission), and put a headlamp bulb in the granddaughters car. Short day, went inside at 3.

Cleaned, worked on the drift trike, started winterizing the lawn equipment, setup the new snow blower and started working on an ancient snowblower that was given to me.

Taking inventory on fire kit pieces for a local craft/handmade sale coming up.

It's a bushcraft/edc kit of my own design to get a fire going. Couple types of kindling, couple ways to make a flame, a cutter, a wee flashlight. I customize the tins in regular and zombie apocalypse flavors.

Time to get cracking and build some inventory.

I replaced the front door speakers in the wifes Impala, the factory ones quit. not a bad project really, I had do do a little modifying because apparently you have to order a 6'' one way speaker, I just made a 6.5'' two way speaker work.

I was on my shop laptop for a few hours today. I was researching automobile wiring kits. I am down to Ron Francis and American Autowire. I got a price from the local dealer then I thought I had better check Craigslist, just in case. There is a person offering an American Autowire Highway 22 kit for $200 less than the best other price quote.
The story is, could not afford the project, car is sold and there are parts for sale, now. So, 11:00h tomorrow, we will talk and try to make a deal.
The shop furnace never stopped today.

Replaced 2 8 foot bulbs on the ceiling to no avail. Ballast must be out. Assemble two tool carts for delivery next week. Nothing fun.

For the cost of 8 ft parts, even tubes, your better off replacing with LED. Cheaper, costs less to run, and MUCH better light!

On My "Shop work" I'm STILL "putting stuff away" partly for Thanksgiving day prep, but SO MUCH came into the house during all the summer/fall projects...

A little more sorting yesterday and today.

Keep working on the Argo later today. Not having a local parts source sure slows down the process.

I met with the Craigslist seller, at a neighborhood Chevron. The wiring kit that the seller described as AWA Highway 22 was anything but. 14 bundles of wire were missing and the details of what else was not there are long and painful. S
Deal of no Deal. NO DEAL!

Spent all day detailing my wifes car. Clayed it waxed it and did the interior. Just walked out to admire my work, the F@#king Cat walked all over it and left paw prints all over it. Argh!!!

Staggered out through a foot of snow to fetch a small saw to trim back some snowy branches from Mrs Outlander's parking spot. Staggered because my ankle looks like it ate a golf ball.

I just started using pinnacle products. I bought a kit from Auto geek. I started with washing the car then used the clay bar with the clay liquid they provide. I knew I needed to clay her car as it's been awhile (probably mid summer). The best way to tell if you need to do this is to put your hand in a thin plastic bag and rub the surface if it feels rough or bumpy then its time to clay before wax. Just shoot the clay liquid on and rub with the clay. Then wipe it off and you are ready for wax. I went with the pinnacle liquid souveran for the wax (it is a carnuba and always had good results with other brands that had carnuba in it). You actually don't wait for the wax to really haze before wiping it off with a microfiber towel. I also bought new microfiber towels (the gold I believe) and happy I did. I tried my older washed Autozone microfiber ones and they stink compared to a good quality microfiber towel (something I learned today). For the glass I used the Groits glass cleaner. For the leather on the seats and vinyl on the dash I used Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner. On the carpets I used Scotchgard oxy auto carpet & fabric spot and stain remover. I had to work this a bit because my darling bride spilled her coffee on the carpet but came out great.
Oh and for all the rubber trim pieces I used the Groits vinyl & rubber dressing.
Hope this helps! Two more cars to go before winter gets here.

Oil and filter ($75) for the wife’s Durango. Also changed the HID headlight bulb ($100) that was burned out.

Then went out and finished slapping up the steel ceiling in the shop in my sig.

Painted the new shelf unit for the remodeled master bathroom (almost done...yay!!). Painted the door to the master bedroom. Cussed at the defective recirc pump for the hot water heater, waiting for a replacement from the supplier. Cleaned off the workbench, cleaned paint brushes, drew up plans for the pull out drawer for the new vanity in the master bath.
