When is it time to replace a garage door?

So as I go down the path of renovating my garage I find myself with a bit of a problem. The garage door. It is functioning fine but is not without issues.

Current problems:
1. needs new door seal and track
2. Needs additional reinforcement struts

Current Wants:
1. Hi Lift to eliminate opener give a cleaner look to the space
2. Jackshaft opener

So far estimates are coming in around $1200 to do the necessary repairs and adjustments. This includes new track, new drums, cables, springs. I have lived in the house for 15 years and would guess that the door was at least 10 years then. I am still waiting for a couple of quotes but the last fellow indicated maybe around $2k for n entire new door and high lift with opener.

Thoughts? Before anyone mentions to just do it myself let me be clear that I do not want to do it myself.

I am in the same boat. Going to make some calls in the next few weeks. I hear the jackshaft is the way to go now?

Heat is installing next week, Then on deck is having the floor lifted due to some settlement over the past 40+ years. I am doing 16+ feet of custom built cabinets and a work bench. followed buy pvc tiles on the floor. I already upgraded the electric with a sub panel and LED lighting. Figured with all of that why cheap out on the door.

I really like the idea of eliminating the overhead opener clutter. Always rinning into it with sheets of plywood and ladders etc. I have just shy of 10' ceilings and having the new door be a hi lift will just make the space feel more open and clean. So for me it was an aesthetic thing mainly.

I only have 8' ceilings. My antenna hits the bottom of the door when I go in and out.

I have a guy coming today and next week to price. One side has something wrong. Rubbing the rail and causes it to open back up. Can't figure it out. Just replace everything at this point. They have to be at least 30 years old I imagine. Can't get the other door to work with a key pad. Plus everything is wifi now, so it would be nice to add the garage doors onto the system too.
