My current pump has a 1/2 or 5/8" clear plastic flexible hose running from the pump through a 5/8" hole drilled into the side of the home and just hanging unsupported. Over time the hose from weathering and UV Im sure gets brittle, breaks and gets shorter and shorter and now is a stub that needs replacing what is the correct way of installing and running a drain line like this. The basement is as dry as a bone so there is no sump pump installed in a sump that's never been wet over the last 20 years. Would cutting it into the sanitary sewer line be correct ?
