So my Home Depot has the tool only 2767 for 229.99 so I grabbed it and figured ok need a battery and charger...so I grab a 160.00 9AH battery and a 80.00 charger...so I’m thinking jeezus I’m now up to 480.00 or some ****.

I put everything back and left. But it hurt...I wanted it :(

If I didn’t have an MG725......them maybe.

Why a 9.0 battery? A couple 4.0 or 5.0 would be cheaper and easier to handle.

Although i bought the new high torque 1/2" gun and like it, but wish i would've gotten the mid torque. So damn heavy with a 5.0 on it.

Not that it needs but 9AH puts a little more pep in its step.

No need for a 9.0 on the impact wrench. Also cheaper to pick up a single battery and charger off eBay. Don’t pay retail.

Ive had this gun for a month or so. Love everything about it. Heavy sure, but that power when needed is awesome. I got the complete kit 2767-22 from Home Depot. 399.99 total for the gun, 2 5.0 batts charger in case with a free sae impact socket set. Glad I jumped on the deal when I saw it

It's insane what home depot asks for those batteries. Check eBay, buy one that's sealed in the original packaging. $90 for a 9.0, $55 for 5.0s. I thought I would never be able to afford the bigger capacity batts until I got hip to buying online. Now I have 4 9.0s and 6 5.0s. Also the chargers are on eBay for next to nothing. Go with a rapid charger if you get any 9.0s. I think they're about $30. As an owner of both the 2767 and mg725, I haven't used my snappy in months.

Yea you can find good deals on batteries on eBay. A lot of sellers buy the combo kits and sell everything individually. They make money and we pay less than we would in store. Everybody wins. Not to poison the red thread, but I went with team yellow on this one and haven't touched my mg725 since going cordless either. Its worth going cordless as they're quicker and easier to use, can go anywhere and compared to the mg, more powerful.

Semi-related question- Are 5.0 and 9.0 batteries bigger and heavier than the older 2.8/3.0 batteries? I'm still trying to decide on a new drill in either bare tool or as a kit w/batteries and charger. I have five of the 2.8 batteries already.

I always buy the bare tool's and then batteries individually it's just cheaper that way. since i have a **** ton of Milwaukee's toy's at home and at work i don't need all the chargers either. I did pick up a couple of the rapid multi bank chargers that are also worth every penny.( I believe like 170.00 on amazon)

My MG725 has been awesome....if I ever have trouble with anything @90PSI a bump up to 120 has always solved the issue.

Hard to put that away for a 2767.

I have 3, 5, and 9 amp hour batteries.

The 5 may be heavier but not bigger. If heavier it's impercivable to me. I have to look at the battery to tell.

You don't want a 9 amp battery on anything except the designed tools such as the saws, blower, and trimmer(hedge and weed)

I used it once on my surge impactor and not only does it affect noticeably the weight and balance, it sticks out further to the front allowing the battery to hit the wall or object your driving screws into before the screw is seated. You would have to use a longer bit or extension to compensate.

Buy it on eBay all of it or CL was looking last night and you can get the fuel impact batery(ies) and charger for $225 to $250. I don't own any wilwaukee tools was going to get the kit for $150 drill and impact driver at home depot but scored a 7 piece Ridgid kit for $175 at a pawn shop all brand new. To be honest I'm still wanting to get Milwaukee I'm just not happy with Ridgid but the wife says no as I also just bought a Hilti drill and impact driver that same day for $150 was going to return that set but reciept says no returns damn it. I also have a Makita 18v drill and driver so I have 4 impacts (Ridged set had 2 an x5 and x4) and 3 drills 2 of which are hammer drills not sure about the Makita one all are 1/2 it just don't make since to buy another set I'll never use any of it hardly one thing about Ridgid is the tools are stronger the Impact puts out 2250 inch pounds the fuel only puts out 1600 or 1800 can't remember.

For a GMC 2500HD Duramax and looking for an all around impact for everything on the truck could I get away with the mid-range impact or should I go with the 2767?

Ya and you didn't even add in the sales tax at the checkout on it all either! :D

IMO don't really need a 9.0 for that impact why all tote the xtra weight while any real world power gains will be minimal. I have one rapid charger it's nice but I don't even use all that often The old ones have always done fine for me up thru 5.0 XC. And just the 9.0 I have that really needs it if your waiting on one to charge in the time than you go to lunch.

And I agree sometimes you can piece together a pretty deal if shopping all around grabbing a bare tool on sale one place battery/ charger another (ex. ebay etc.) and time and shipping aren't an issue

The best package deal I see should you want one is at ACME 2767-22 kit $449 gets the tool, a charger and two 5.0XC batteries plus a 3rd 5.0 XC as a free promotion. Plus if you use the current $20 off $100 discount code MILW2017 good till the 12/15 the price is only $429 And may be no additional sales tax too depending on location.

Bare tool save $10 with that code + free ship

A 2763-21 kit with single battery and charger has been like $229 recently some places and that's like only $10 over what the bare tool alone originally sold for back when.

I have 2763 and though the new one has some different features the Gen I is just fine with me for what it does It is a beast and save a lot of money on one right now

Both Milwaukee models ranked high in a current test If any one hasn't seen it you find that here
