Spent part of the afternoon adjusting shelves next to the cubbies in the garage to better hold our several different sized drawer units for hardware. Now they are all on one wall and off the top of my bench.

Spent a bit more time cleaning up and putting things away this evening.

I got my snow thrower out and started it and let it run for 5 minutes, then put it back (it's going to snow here some year and I want to be ready). Also did some checking on stuff out in the small shed, been having some thefts around here. Damn heroin heads.....

Cut down a 36" deep bench I got free a while back to 30 inches to allow me a little more access around the back of my vehicles...that 6" was HUGE!
I is really incredible how 6 more inches of walk way helps in the whole scheme of things.
I was also able to move the bench away from a shelf bracket that was preventing me from extending the legs of the bench so I can sit on a stool at the bench.
I am so happy everything worked out and I have a much better work area.

PE, where are the manifolds breaking?

All have been or started as hairline fractures at the down tube flange. I was banging around quit a bit last week.

Both replacements were Chicom. Could have used more Magic exhaust weld but figured I replace it. Stud threads were stripping out etc.

Replaced the fuel lines on the snow blower, after finding that the old ones were cracked and leaking gas on the floor?

PE, since it is at that flange (and not the "Y" splitting) maybe one of those braided exhaust connectors between the manifold and the exhaust would take some of the torque off?

I did that on my Samurai, as they have a nasty habit of vibrating the Cat to pieces internally...

Replaced the front cam seal on my Civic, it literally “popped” out while driving. Oil everywhere [emoji35] 4574b738ae34e39fa8cbc4b61a7bec8b.jpg

There was a Sasquatch sighting in my garage :eyecrazy: Cut from a 4x8 sheet of 3/4" PT ply. Needs painting and then I have to figure out how to fit it under the Xmas tree.

Replaced front struts in my sprinter van. Filmed it for my youtube channel, I am creating a series of how-to videos for the DIY mechanic:

How do you like your sprinter? Where I work we had a few. All of us that ever drive them hated them from day one. They did however keep our mechanic and local towing companies busy.

Love mine surprised you didn't like driving them. Did you have the older style T1N model (pre 2008 or so I think)?

As far as reliability I had to replace 1 exhaust temp sensor and the front struts. Granted, mine doesn't get the level of use as a commercial vehicle would. I use it as a bare bones RV and dirt bike hauler. Nearly 100% of the miles are easy long highway drives.

Are are 100% drive it like you stole it miles so that could be the difference. And yes they were the older models.

Working on a few more hangers for steering wheels. She's wrapping Christmas presents so I am most useful outside.

Finished up installing my MaxJax. Just sitting on the lowest stops to see if anything moves. Definitely a few lessons learned.

Not in the garage persay, but the driveway outside the garage (good weather was had today). Went out about 11:00 and started reorganizing the garden shed to get a few more things off the floor, didn't get it swept out because I got sidetracked and decided to tackle some of the leaves in the yard as well as the neighbours place (I do maintenance work for them inside and out). So I gassed up the rider, mulched up a bunch of leaves and then did a second pass with the bagger to pick everything up. This machine doesn't like to chew the leaves up very fine if you just go for the bagger right off the start, so a second pass was necessary.

Once I got the leaves taken care of next door, I wheeled the mower over to the side door of the shop to do some neglected maintenance and winterization type chores to it. cleaned out the larger chunks of grass from the bottom of the deck (there really wasn't much up there), and cleaned out all the grass/leaves from ontop of the deck, changed the oil and reinstalled the deck, put sta-bil in the tank, topped it off and then drove it over to Grandma's place to cram into the shed for the winter.

I think I'm going to call it a day...

I've had luck with a ratchet strap wrapped around right down the middle of the tire.

Rolled the front tire off the tractor. I have had no experience putting the bead on to air this tire up. They make it look so easy, lol. Got past that, still need a patch.

built some shelves in my pole barn then I created a fill station utilizing my filrite pump which I mounted on my new shelves. Now I can leave my 5 gallon cans on the floor and fill up my large and small tractors.I fell backwards off my tractor, which prompted the above work.

Hunted and hunted for a vacuum leak. Finally decided that it must be between the upper and lower intake halves (z31 300zx) and realized some DUMB *** didn't put a gasket in.

Recently picked up a ‘93 Toyota Pickup with 239K miles. I am in the process of detailing it so I started on the interior today (6hours). Below is a before and after of the center section of the seat. I used Folex and my steam cleaner. Those seats were nasty!

Nice job, lot of effort there. I never have the patience for that and always just buy cheap seat covers to cover up the stains.

Worked in the basement shop.. looking for a training certificate I needed for work. Found it, and in the process inventoried records and training manuals so that I can start to weed out the unnecessary ones.

Installed rocker panel one of two on my 07 Expedition that shouldn't need them yet.... I have a ways to go, but at least there is metal there now. Replacement rockers aren't available. You have to buy the whole door opening assembly. A pillar, B pillar etc. I had two bent up.

Ford won't be getting $60k from me for a new one when it's just the rockers... It runs and drives beautifully.
