I think the Irwin right-angle pliers have only been offered by Amazon third-party sellers for quite some time now, sellers which are often individuals who bought out the remaining supply at their local Lowe's once they went on clearance. The one with the lowest current price gets displayed as the default listing on the product page, until they sell out; some of them only have 1, in which case it goes fast. Occasionally one pops up who decided to be markedly less greedy than the others. You sure got lucky with that one!
I've been keeping an eye on these on and off since they were first posted in this thread several weeks ago, but seeing any at all on Amazon or Ebay for below $20 including shipping has been very rare. Current prices start at $24 and go up and up from there. I want one, but not that much...
If I were Thirdyfivepickup with them within 'reach' at $5, I'd be looking for any excuse to head over to that Lowe's soon (during daylight hours, preferably early in the morning when most potential ghetto troublemakers will still be sleeping

That's likely the only thing that will resolve it. Call and ask them to fix it, if they won't, ask for a supervisor, repeat the process until it is resolved. If you get no where, file a complaint with the Attorney General.

Most online vendors track IP, name, cc number, address, phone numbers, etc. To get around this you would need completely new information and accept no cookies on a new or wiped computer.

Amazon is kind of quirky... Sometimes it will drop the price of an item lower than what a seller sets their price to, and simply compensates them the difference.

yeah... but my luck with Lowes and their stock vs what's actually on the shelf I feel its going to be a wasted trip. I can't do an online order because the right angles arent available online anymore. I'll probably make a 6am trip sometime over the weekend. Hopefully pick up one of each.
For the past year ive' been tracking this. Months ago it was sold out at all lowes's near me except 1 store, which had 3 in stock. I assumed it was in the rafters somewhere or the price tag was wrong. A couple days ago the price dropped to $20 - normally its like $130. One of them sold so I was sure it was in stock. After about 30 mins searching the store I found both of them (they were in a BBQ display on the bottom shelf, you could only see it by walking in front of the display). The price tag incorrectly stated it was $116.95

Thanks for posting that. I dont think it was ever carried at the lowes near me, unfortunately. I also noticed the wood pellets are on clearance too, but again at this point it's all sold out. These items have been on clearance for probably a year, so most stores will be out of stock.

Any recourse thru payment method, Credit Card? Did you try the store manager? After all the rebate WAS the reason you purchased and they misrepresented their program knowingly or not. Innocent employee mistake or not, they are still liable IMO. If they don't listen, deal,with the credit card company to dispute the charges. Good luck.

It cal also vary regionally- if an item from one vendor is cheaper and it’s actoss the country they may show you one higher but closer in the “buy box” as they call it. But when you click on the option to see all offers you can see the lower price.

Nice find! Looks like only 4% in stock across the nation for that bundle. I couldn't find any in my state... They have the other one though but still priced around $50, waiting for it to drop more.

Found the diagonal cutters for 1.20 near me. Ordered online as therr was one left. My order was cancelled well before the store even opened lol. Went to the store after work around open time and couldn't find any, there wasn't even a tag for it by the other clearance Irwin pliers.. assuming they didn't have it period (it only showed 1 in stock)
Is the date listed when the price will actually drop thought I'm pretty sure I usually see items drop in price before the date listed. Also, the date listed is the same from store to store, but some stores drop the price sooner than others. It seems random to me. Am I remembering this wrong?
I bet they "store use" those a long time ago. They still list one near here but that display has been gone for quite a while. You can see random tools they are using laying about.
probably, at first i thought maybe some employee pocketed them but when i recognized the other clearance pliers (only a couple bucks off normal, will be watching them) had all their tags in proper location, and there was no tag for them, i assumed they were gone long ago. the 8" diagonals that replaced them were there, and only had 1 left, so i'm guessing they've been gone for a while. in fact, after my cancellation it said on their site there was 1 back in stock again, which went to 0 after my order. and if memory serves me right i checked on these a while back when they weren't marked down very much and there was still 1 in stock. oh well, at least it wasn't cancelled out of viciousness

The German Irwin's got pulled from the normal shelves months ago. If a store still has any they are usually in the clearance areas or in the bins above the tools. Find an older employee that works in the tool section and he might just know what you are talking about and can dig them out.

There's only 2 available in inventory from that one store... They don't change quantity until they physically pull it off the shelf and process the order...
That isn't correct. If you order for something for shipping it is either sent from a warehouse or if the warehouse is out a local lowes from you. I have ordered an item 100 times at one store and the quantity never changed.

Lowes used to charge when you place an online order, now they only charge when you pickup the order. So lets say you place an online order for store pickup for something thats on clearance for $70. You wait a month and pick it up a month later. By then the price has dropped to $10. So when you pickup the order you ask them to adjust the price to $10, and they do.
So the way I see this, you have nothing to lose placing an online order for store pickup, and picking it up a month later or until the price goes lower:
1) You will either get the item for a lower price or
2) They might eventually cancel the order, but since you were never charged there will be no refund, you dont need to worry about money being ******* for months.
I once placed an online order for store pickup to see how long they would hold the item. 3 months later they cancelled the order without telling me. So it seems this might be a good strategy, especially if you know when the price will drop (good thru 1/26/2018)...

My order was cancelled but they did not send me a notice so I went 30 min out of my way for nothing. Now they are off the website so I can't check the only other store with stock. Guess I will try brickseek.

Local Lowes had them in a shopping basket next to customer service with a bunch of damaged flashlights here, so they could be anywhere.
