Birthday tools from the wife. GW bit set for Vortex pass through or 1/4" and 3/8" sq drive. I made a few changes to them already. Pulled the screw driver bits and moved a few of the smaller hex sizes that were 3/8" drive into the 1/4" drive. Made an empty 1/4" and 3/8" into bit holders. Large hex bit sockets in SAE and MM. and lastly a Williams ratcheting T bit driver. Used it on a few things already, I like it.

That t handle still eludes me its the only type I don’t have....... enjoy it they are awesome.

^^^ If you don’t mind looks are a bit deceiving
How shallow are those bits compared to a reg 1/4 and 3/8 set up.
I have reg sets of bits already and the basic max axess set (GW)
So It might not be a bad deal to add the bits.

I just bought bondhus stubby hex keys recently for clearance reasons...
but I wouldn’t mind having something in between the key and my current socket.

I am glad the Taiwanese/Chinese brands are capitalizing on roto ratchets. I have the original, an SK 3870, and I had never even imagined uses I have come up with this thing, plus nut driver function. Also, I think it might have been the first flex head ratchet to use a screw to keep tension on the joint. However, the 3870 is discontinued and they never made a 1/4 version. I'm probably not the only one in thinking a 1/4 version, 6.5"-7" long, may be a runner up for a perfect ratchet.

That all being said, again, glad someone is capitalizing on it besides Snap-on. Not just a gimmick.

Now that’s a set of sockets. Not one damn size missed and they give you sizes that I don’t even think exist lol.

1/4" are 1.58" OAL and the 3/8" are 1.89" OAL the ones I modified are somewhere in between. I used these to replace my older hex bit set that was rather lacking on some sizes. I like these since the work with both sq drive and pass through ratchets.

I like the feel of those indestro round heads. Iirc, 52 teeth. Nice positive engagement on the selector (mine has a patent # on the face of the drive side, and it is for a ball detent for the selector). I have a 1/2 version, but it has a flat rectangular handle vs your knurled handle. I wish mine was knurled...the flat handle offers nothing in the way of ergonomics.

Nice freebies, they look new!

Free from a neighbor.../QUOTE]

Who, apparently, in 1981 walked out of a mom n pop parts store with juuuuust enough tools to change his plugs, which he did once at most.????

I have so many tools whose stories I'd love to hear.

So are you cooking smoked brisket for the neighbor in exchange for the tools? :dunno:
Hmmm... he is dead... his wife gave me the tools. Old neighbors. 2d0870f0051292bf4ddc56082a3f0435.jpg623b98cd179443164fd5556b53c4dc72.jpg

I cashed in my change jar at the coin star machine and got an amazon gift card worth enough to get a couple new saws and a 6ah battery for work. Almost like free tools!

I warrantied an old Craftsman #43175 and the kid behind the counter told me I could pick whatever I wanted so I grabbed this Craftsman #44835 for doing spark plugs, but when using it tonight I noticed the ratchet would jump from off to on when breaking the spark plugs loose. 2 stars.a134df61b534372695e4524df7a06847.jpg

You’ll love it. I’m using it everyday in my shop and while it’s heavy, I have only used my air gun once in a month. So nice not dealing with an air line and it’s a freaking beast. I also have the 3/8, 1/4 driver, drill, and leaf blower lol.

I had a few that did the same thing. Ended up just giving them to my brother.

Interesting handles.
Are they comfortable ?

Not sure yet, need to get some use out of them, think they will be ok though, they are quite big and very square, I have a ratchet with the same handle and in that application I dont like it. Will mostly be straight blade prybar type use if I am honest, have very little use for Phillips here. They were very cheap, from a discount/ clearance type ebay seller, much less than if from a dealer, which I believe there is only a few in the country.

Just picked up the Knipex cutter (P19) from my Mac dealer along with Mac TFL3-SET thin walled flip socket set for lug nuts. Nice stuff. Not a screaming deal, but $135.00 for both items.
