Old Craftsman Bandsaw Vibration

As stated above, I was trying to use my bandsaw for the first time in months and it has a vibration. I could barely use it as it was shaking pretty good. If I had to cut a very accurate or intricate piece, I couldn't.

So I checked the pulleys for any play, but they seemed firm. Anyone have any ideas what to check?

Maybe it's the blade?
Take the blade of, and see what you get.
If it seems ok, I'd try a different blade.

Everybody knows the three key points of real estate value--location, location, and location. As for bandsaws, the key item controlling quality of cut is he blade, the blade, and the blade. After you change the blade, check the upper saw guides. Sometimes they jiggle loose. And then check the lower saw guides. I checked my saw for a funny noise one day and found that one of the lower guide blocks HAD VIBRATED OUT and was sitting in a pile of sawdust.

If it has sat a long time with tension on the blade, maybe the tires (rubber on the wheels)are in bad shape, and they could sure cause a lot of vibration.
