Hi All,

I'm just finishing my 24 X 34 build and will be ready for flooring come this spring.

I'm in Toronto,Ontario and the garage flooring companies here seem to be super expensive. I have have had 2 quotes over 5,000 for 816 sq feet with 2 courses of block wall done as well.

Is this really what flooring costs?
Do most people just do the install themselves?

That's $6.12 per sq ft.

From a reputable company with good references, I'd say that's cheap.

I did my outbuilding recently and quotes ranged from $8500-$13k!

In the end I hired a company that has been in the coatings business for many years, their references checked out and I am thrilled with the result....and that company wasn't the cheapest either, nor were they the most expensive.

Prep and process used are the keys to a good long lasting end product.

I also went with two top coats.

That cost is right inline for a polyaspartic flooring system by a professional installer.

Thanks!

I was shocked at the cost HAHA!.. I actually got quoted 7.50 sq foot for the polyaspartic. but they grid your floor and do a full coverage of the flake as well as a clear coat.

Hey garage guy1of38 what company did you use?

I'm thinking about either GarageLiving.com, Goldwell Restoration, Ltd both of these companies provided timely quotes and seem willing to answer my questions.

Price is in line and fair. We can sell a full polyaspartic system with full broadcast in the $2.50-$3.00/sq ft range.

One of our products, SPGX one part hybrid polyaspartic/polyurea coating gives similar performance to two parts but at only about 60 cents/ sq ft. Not quite as thick, but a terrific coating for the money.

Nobody has physically come out but based on my 3 car garage they have quoted a little over $5k.
The epoxy would be around $3k

My garage is around 25'x35'

Thanks! We are pretty much the same size mine is 24 x 34', I have 2 courses of block that the stud wall sits on that I want covered as well.

I'm still deciding if I want to drop 6,000+ after tax on an epoxy floor or I may do it myself as it's new.

Garage Living quoted me $5/sq ft for polyaspartic with full flake, etc... I was quite surprised at the price.

I just realized the Garage Living is a Franchise and they are also in the US. I called the Toronto location and the sq/ft > 700 sq ft = $6 sq/ft
If the sq ft < 700 sq/ft = $6.50

These prices are reasonable in the US for quality work with quality product.
