Want some opinions of what the members of GJ think a fair price for this box is? Thanks in advance.

Edit - Sorry mods, meant to put this in general tool discussion.

Jeez you guys, way to help him out.

Dimensions would help, but I'd say $1500-2000 would be a fair deal.

Actually, I'd probably snap that up for $1500. Yeah...I definitely would! :)

Looking to buy. If the price was $1,500 or even $2,000 it would already be sitting in my garage. The box is used, but in very good condition. KRL series, approximately 54" wide and 24" deep.

SSZ - the bottom box looks like a KRL7002, which would be 29" deep. Are you sure on the 24" deep? It makes a difference in the price...

KRL7002 boxes that are in great condition are a good deal, IMO, at $1600-$1850. Where great condition is no dents, minor scratches, all original drawer liners with no rips or tears, everything functions as it should, etc. Then you add the top box on top of that.

If it is mint, and it is a very desirable color combo for you, I would say $2500-$3000 is a good price. If you start getting much north of $3000, then you might want to wait a while and see if he comes down (I'm basing my price on a 29" deep box combo.)

Hope this helps.

It may be too much money but that is a sweet box. Too bad the color isn't the same as the stripes on a 69 Indy pace car:thumbup:

If the boxes are 24" deep then that is a KRL761/791 combo. The new equalvalent would be a KRL722/KRL791 combo that would list for $9595 for a non special edition box. $4500 would be just under 1/2 of new price.

.ahhh missed that, the long single drawers threw me off. still say 2500.

I would buy that combo all day long for $2500 and turn them on my truck in a heartbeat for $4000-5000. A regular version of that setup lists for $9500. Judging by the pic that box is super clean. Its worth more than $2500

Around here in SoCal, just the lower box is $2500, let alone the whole thing. From the picture it looks to be in very nice condition.

How much of that $4500 is cash and how much is the trade for your Classic 78?

$2500 cash and the classic 78. My classic 78 is like new with stainless top. At $2000 cash and my box I'd probably do it. You see boxes come and go so you have a good indication of market and I think your posts reflect that. For those who say $2500 or $3000 it isn't going to happen, as much as I would like it to.
