What sizes do you need, B-man I now have some duplicates and am happy to help a fellow collector fill out a set.

I'd love for you to post that P&C single on TA!I found my first single offsets (in the wild anyway) yesterday at an estate sale. One was Blue Point and the other was early P&C. Here they are with a more conventional P&C DBE wrench

Of course, since Bonney tools have date codes, I could pursue a matching year Bonney CV single offset double box end set.....
Oh, yes, you simply MUST!
But I think it may be possible for only some years of production. I don't think they necessarily manufactured every model of every tool in a given year. Seems more likely sets would have been put together from stock on hand. If tools were made from given weights of steel, then more small sizes would be produced in a given lot. And individual sales of more common sizes would require more frequent manufacture of those sizes, while less common sizes would sit in storage.
Did the 2834 & 2839 come to you recently from eBay? I was watching and put a low bid on a lot that included a couple extra big CVs with two regular size Zenels. Distracted by dinner around the end of the auction, I lost! Boo hoo for me, and yay for for whoever got them.

You betcha! I have a few of those individual wrenches and would love to complete the set. Now that I have a picture of the retaining nut and bolt, I can fantasize about finding one in the top of some dead guy's tool box.

Yessir those thorsens were special, I hope to find one for myself one day just to have, a couple of coworkers of mine swear by them!haha That little Thorsen 1/2 x 9/16 on the far right has been in use or in my pocket almost constantly since about 1974. You could just about rebuild a whole pickup truck with it!
Check AA for Hinsdale, but IIR they died in the late 20's early 30's?

Never knew I sort of have a fetish for these things til I found this thread....
I always have liked short, offset box wrenches. Even if they’re not offset much.
But a new girl showed up at school today and I think I am smitten.
Check out these deeeep offset standard length oval beam Hinsdales.
Man I would sure love to fill in the two in the middle to complete this set.
I haven’t been able to track down about when these were made.
Can anyone shed any light in these wrenches?
I LOVE DBE's, as an industrial mechanic you ain't worth your salt unless you have some tools on hand at all times, not a lot of stuff just the essentials, DBE's allow me to carry only a couple wrenches but have all the important sizes in my pocket, my favorite is my Proto 1/2 X 9/16 (two very common sizes at my plant) it isn't old and cool but hey I'm young and one day it will be [emoji4]

I'll just tease you with these pics,

. This looks to have been painted.
Looks like Williams to me. I have a couple of Williams DBEs with the same type of finish on them. I don't think it's paint.![]()
#2116 - I've been looking for a decent one for over a year.

no idea why I figured collecting Giller would be a good idea. seemed like a good idea at the time.]
