I need the metal prong that holds a halogen quartz light into the socket. They are usually inside the ceramic holder, I just need the little fitting that I can solder a new wire into, anyone know where to buy them?

You need the whole ceramic socket. They do not sell that part separately.
You can buy at Home Depot. They sell Satco parts in the lighting department and that socket should be there. If you can't find it locally, there is a lighting parts company called Grand Brass that is in CT and sells nationally thru their website.

When you buy the socket, first measure yours. It comes in 2 lengths.

No such luck at home depot. I will try the interwebs.

From you description, I think you are looking for this:
https://www.grandbrass.com/item/sot3l/lamp_sockets-halogen_and_specialty-r7_s_double_ended_sockets/

Here are all their halogen sockets:
https://www.grandbrass.com/category...s/lamp_sockets-halogen_and_specialty_sockets/

They are good helpful people to deal with.

Im looking for the metal pointy thing that the bulb fits into. I have the ceramic part, its not damaged. Non of those that you show would work. These are older lights.

I found a cheap socket, I can just take the middle part out.

Thanks

This is the universe telling you it's time to upgrade to a nice LED light.

You won't need to constantly feed it expensive bulbs, it won't get to 9,000 degrees, and it'll use about a tenth of the electricity.

Let it go...

These are for a fire truck, run off a genset. I dont have 4-500$ to replace with LED, plus I would want to replace all of them.(x4) They are very well made, I have had no issues with bulbs in the 5 years I have been dealing with them. I broke the wire off the part, so just need the part.

Like I said, looks like I can pirate from a 3$ part I ordered.

Im big into fixing things, not just throwing out and replacing. It looks like a 3$ part will fix it, and extend its service life for another 20 years i am sure. Im not throwing a quality lite away if It can be repaired.
