Ok, but this isn't the power tool itself it's a rubber cover. And apparently it fails from age, not use. I dont expect them to replace a die grinder I ran 24/7 for a year. If you can warranty a ratchet or screwdriver 20 yrs after you bought it, and worn it out from normal use, why not a rubber cover that failed- and not from normal use, but from their chosen incorrect composition of the rubber? Yes, their terms say no, and fine and it's ok, it's not warranty, we lose if it fails. It's not the fine print, its reality. I don't expect SO to warranty a phillips screwdriver tip I wore out from normal use, but they will. But they won't replace this on warranty? Regardless of their terms, this should be a warranty if it fails and overall looks good. If you dragged it behind your car, no. But if it looks good but cracked they should stand behind it.
I understand their terms; they win, i buy a new one when mine cracks, but that doesnt change my opinion
