Hi guys. My oil boiler started rapidly cycling on and off tonight, and I believe the problem is the control relay. The relay that is on there now is a Honeywell r8184g1138, but that exact part number is no longer available. I need to run out first thing tomorrow morning to get a replacement, but what should I get that will replace the one I have? The r8184g part of that number comes up, but there are a lot of different choices with different ending numbers. I have attached a few pictures of what I have. The boiler is shut down until I get a replacement, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are there any contacts on any of the parts that you have shown, like that one black/dark gray colored part with the number shown on the side, that make up the relay assembly, that have to open and close for proper boiler operation?
If so, maybe the contacts have become corroded, and they can't operate properly, and perhaps you can clean off the corrosion with some sandpaper or small file.
That rely assembly appears to be an older model, so you might not be able to find the exact same one, but one similar that is newer, with a slightly different model number.

Thanks for the reply! I did try cleaning the contacts, but it didn't help. 1 of them was severely worn/burned. I think that controller is original to the boiler, so its at least 25 years old. I can't complain I guess, it lasted a long time.
r8184g1138 is old. r8184g4009 is correct replacement (45 second).
Also available is ICM1503.
Thanks, I picked up the r8184g4009 this morning from Lowes. They had it on the shelf for $78 and I am back in business again. I should probably buy another one so I have it in stock for next time there is a problem.

Excellent! Glad to hear your heat is back on! And the fact that you could fix it yourself, for a very reasonable price, is also great.
That is why I love this forum. If we have questions about something there always seems to be someone who knows how to fix the problem, or offers help as to how to diagnose the issue so that you can zero in on it.
I like the fact that user "Stuff" was able to give you the actual replacement part number that would work. And the fact that you could buy it locally at Lowes and replace the old worn out unit yourself.
