IR T30 2340 pump rebuild?

I have a IR 2340 pump that appears "OK" except the paint is blistered (The copper line from the pump to the tank was bent/crimped)
So it tells me the pump overheated, also the 5hp motor was fried.
The tank is in great shape and I got this for next to nothing. Before I buy a motor for it, I want to break the pump down and go through it.
Unlike a champion 15, I can not find anything online about rebuilding this pump (except parts kits).
What should I be looking for on a pump that obviously overheated?
Is there any step by step for break down and re-assemble for this pump?

Why are you assuming that it overheated? Air gets hot as it is compressed, and the outlet line gets very hot during extended operation.

I'd change the oil in it and get it spinning before deciding that it needs a full rebuild.

IR doesn’t publish a rebuild manual even for the internal techs. I’d pop the front cover off and spin the flywheel and see if anything looks wonky inside.

Isn't the 2340 a new version of the 234? If so, there is a tech/rebuild manual for rebuilding it....IR manual "SDC-196".

This. Yes, the air coming out of that pump can be hot enough to cook paint easily. Those pumps are very reliable. My family has an IR on our farm. It has been in an unheated barn all of 60+ years. Never has had any work done to it except for oil changes, air filters, and the motor has been replaced. The pump? Just keeps chugging along.
