Curious why you say shipping is a function of location? Lowes knows nothing about my location when Im searching different stores. I have never seen anyone say shipping wasn't available for them when others are posting shipping deals
Shipping changes from truck to parcel based on the whims carried in the wind it seems. Example- I was able to get one of the paslode nailers shipped to me by utilizing my father's address instead of my own. He lives approximately 15 minutes away (albeit in a different zip code), which should make no difference to Lowe's based on shipping warehouses, etc. He has a Lowe's close to his home which is different from the one close to mine - but both are stocked from the same central location.
So, when my shipping address was listed as my primary address truck shipping only was available from the zip where the deal was.
When my shipping address was listed as my father's, shipping became available via parcel - I've no idea why and in such cases it's a 50/50 shot on the order being cancelled, but it's worth a try.
Location of the nail gun was on the west coast, I'm in the mid south, gun shipped from the East coast.
Thus, as I presume none of us know the algorithm used, the only way I was able to use the deal was knowing the original location.
For what it's worth - just trying to add info.
Having said all that... Wish it was a non fuel nail gun but oh well.
