I've been upgrading various lighting around the house and garage to LED and decided it was time to replace my older halogen work lights. Step number one was to buy this LED version at Menards with some left over rebate money and, it's old halogen brother will go in an upcoming spring garage sale.
The halogen lights were bright but so hot to work around, I tended to not reach for them often. This, I think will get used more and, I'm thinking of getting a couple different sizes.

Nice!!

When, and how do you use a ratchet like this? Do you put a breaker bar on it, another ratchet? :tard:

Thanks

I’ve always wanted a power planer, but didn’t think I would use one enough to justify the cost. My local Ace Hardware store had this Dewalt 5.5 amp on clearance for 70% off. For $47, I couldn’t pass it up.

It’s amazing, once you have the tool, how many jobs you suddenly have for it.

I bought a new Dewalt planer similar to that one, in a metal box, from a business bankruptcy sale back in 1998 for a $60 or something like that wondering when I would ever use it, but things kept popping up and over the years it has put a smile on my face many times in unexpected situations.

I put a hook in my ceiling and it hangs there out of sight pretty much during my normal garage/shop functions but when a need comes up I remember to look up and there it is ready to go -- once I round up a ladder to haul it down. Unless you are a wood worker or something requiring frequent use I think keeping it in clear sight but out of your normal path is the way to go with this tool. In a drawer or a cabinet, or shelf just does not quit work the same as completely out of the path of normal activity. Give it its completely own separate spot forever and there it will be.

Just got this Tone 628mm 1/2" ratchet in the mail today. Should make light work of things that I don't want to use the impact on 70e3806416921ad4a501378b0d61a74a.jpgdf36deb50b9a5ce9efb19e958b6aff26.jpg

My lovely bride got me these for Valentine's Day, I finally have her trained to give me tools instead of other gifts (she used to think tools as a gift would be lame...like if I bought her a vacuum).

1/4" Grey Pneumatic Duo Socket set (impact rated with the thickness of a chrome socket) in Fractional (3/16 - 9/16) and Metric (4mm - 15mm). The ratchet has a little slop in it, but feels good otherwise.

I wanted the 3/8" set first, but my birthday is coming up so I've got my fingers crossed.

Koken Spark Plug Socket. Very nicely made. Won't know how good it works until tuneup time.

It's been a while since I've posted. I have gotten a few things here and there but I honestly don't even remember everything. Here is my latest grab:

Matco 4" / 8" / 12" hex ratchet set.

Do you have a part number for the biggest stubby one? I've never heard of these but was planning on buying a bahco made snap on adjustable like that.

I have the 8" one, very nice. Smooth action, and one of the lowest profiles I've seen

BOGO Snap-on long metric and sae hex sockets. Borrowed one at work, was amazed at how strong they are, and picked up these two sets.

48548, that Dennis is a baddddd man. My recent order shipped yesterday and I can't wait for it to get here. He was telling me yesterday how badass those screw drivers were and I'm considering getting some. I'd like to know your impressions after you got to use them. Don't get me wrong, if D says they're good that's good enough for me but I'd still like to hear it.

And congrats on the new snag, that's a lot of toptul goodness fur sure ;)
