I changed the direction of my dust collector to save improve performance and save floor space. Basically I 'flipped' it left for right. This was not as easy as I had hoped, I had to dissemble the entire unit and remove the spot welds from the separator, flip it back over and re-weld it together.

Plus I loosened all the curves in my system.

Overall I've seen a pretty massive increase in performance, so I'm pretty happy with my effort.

I made this outdoor table to be put near the fire pit with some scrap wood I had. I am no woodworker but enjoy doing woodworking projects that aren't so precise. I bought a planter for $4.00 that I incorporated into the table as a small ice area for the beers.

Very cool table! I am right there with you. I 'dabble' in woodworking. ;)

Finally got around to my modding my Harbor Freight Welding Table. Followed Tim the Toolman's mod directions on youtube -
Basically cut the table in half and add 1" square tube extensions. Extensions are drilled to allow different heights. Just undo the wing nuts and raise or lower. Table height in the pic is middle setting at 39". Will raise to max height of 45". Looking forward to no more back ache after welding.

Great idea!!
That a Bosch folding stand for a table saw? If so I have the same one.

Yep - Bosch job site table saw and anti-gravity stand. One day I'd love a SawStop cabinet saw with big outfeed table but right now the Bosch is perfect for my needs.

It 's been a great saw for projects I've worked on but I can see how a permanent larger saw would be great for larger woodworking projects.

Have a separate build thread??
No but I could start one tonight if you would like. Its gonna be a to part project, the main frame now and the sheeting and wheel setup next month based on funds.

Watched my hired help and his brother start to change a front wheel bearing on a Toyota Highlander. About the time that the rotor split while they were trying to remove it, I split too. Hopefully they won't start beating on each other before they finish it.

New distributor cap and rotor, plus new coil, for my Dakota, to get it running again. Wouldn’t start, weak and erratic spark. Taking off the air hat to get at the distributor, broke the PCV elbow, so had to replace that too. $3 part, and two hours of swearing at whichever dumba** engineer designed a part that cannot be removed. Had to pull the valve cover off, then remove the broken elbow in little pieces.

Due to the crazy Massachusetts weather, I purchased and plugged in a dehumidifier today. There was condensation on everything 18" or lower. First time in 8 years???

Changed the pair of torsion springs on the attached garage.. after the lady left yesterday I went to open the garage door and, no go.. look up and one of the springs had busted. A couple local calls to garage door businesses and got the stupid quotes I expected. For a third the cost I weighed the door with my bathroom scale, grabbed the correct combination of springs from Menards(Ideal Brand) and got it done.. should last another 20 years.. [emoji106]

3D printed a wall hanger bracket for a first generation Amazon Echo for the garage. I've had an Echo in the garage for a couple of years now, linked to a bluetooth sound bar that has provided great hands free control audio in the garage. It has been great to just call out volume, radio station, songs, podcast or other commands while I'm buried in a dirty job.

Adding an Echo compatible light switch next so I can turn the lights on in the garage as I enter. I might set up a script to turn on the lights, start playing a local radio station on the Echo, etc. "Alexa, turn on the garage."

Set it up to where the lights come on strobing and changing color with a entry song of "I'm bad to the bone!" should impress the neighbors!

Back when my brother was working for a hardware store, somewhere around 1970, he bought my parents a Radar Range...

Well, my brother didn't figure we didn't have any counter space to put it!
So Dad moved the washing machine from the kitchen to the basement (we had a clothes washer and dryer in the kitchen!) and built a cabinet just for the microwave...that Radar Ranger was huge!
Fast forward to 2018, and this cabinet my father made has been doing storage duty in my garage ever since my Mother moved to an assisted living apartment.
It was sponge painted to match the kitchen and has been a sore in my eye for far too long...it is the cabinet on the right...

So, in order to make it match all my other cabinets, I got busy...
Installed some casters and took apart the unit....

Lots of junk I should toss in these drawers....

Added some tin signs my wife keeps buying me....

And now they match! Much thanks to my brother and Dad for making the cabinet possible...LOL!

Welp got my PML rear diff cover for my ranger today. Going to paint it the same color as my valve cover of burnt copper. I'll tape the top of the fins off so that will stay the natural aluminum look. But hope to have the ranger all fully put together here in the next few days so I can drive it again...w00t w00t.

This is a really nice piece, it's a shame it's at the bottom of the truck. Made in USA and is super sweet. Makes the stock diff cover look like a joke.

It's a drain plug. I didn't have it screwed in. On the 8.8 axles you can fill it at the top, on the 7.5 which I have you have to do it on the axle which is a pita because you are snaking tubes around ****...quite annoying.

Normally I use RTV and then have to pry the diff cover off, but with this now I can just drain it and be done...w00t w00t.

Really should have gotten it years ago but dudes on the ranger forum were like don't sink ANY money into a 7.5 axle anything... go 8.8... I don't haul anything and to be honest I don't even know why or what the need to upgrade to an 8.8 would even net me. This is/was my dd but since I'm driving my wife's solara to work I think this truck should last longer..lol

I stripped down a floor scrubber. then smiled a lot...

I bought a floor scrubber a couple of days ago, ad said the brushes were working but no suction.. Before I bid I googled the parts diagram and it showed there was only one motor..

So if the brushes are working so is the motor.. and the pump is belt drive.. I took a chance and today it paid off.. the drive belt to the vacuum pump was not broken.. it had come off the drive pulley on the motor... Back in place everything works fine..:bounce: £1200 machine for less than £1 :p
