I sure wish I knew people collected them, as a sprinkler fitter, I’ve thrown many of them in the dumpster.

I don’t know about collecting-but dumpster is no bueno.. I just thought it looked too cool and now it’s cooler. People ask a pretty penny for them as they are in demand as “industrial” decor.. google is my friend and yours! [emoji123]

I think that's what's known as a Water Motor Gong. Mounts on wall on outside of building where sprinkler system riser is inside. Plumbed into the riser, water flow rings bell.

Clean up and repaint looks really nice!

Yes sir-that’s exactly how it works. As I understand-water flow causes the bell to ring when the rocking “clanger” hammers the bell inside the cast housing.

Your wall alarm looks great, put a speaker in there, and use it to broadcast your own 'alarms' or maybe hook it to your landline so it 'goes-off' when someone calls.

I have a bunch of brass and copper soda-acid extinguisher tanks, just waiting for being worked-on. I may leave the patina, and just clean them well.

Thanks a bunch.. I was on a trip and touring the distillery when I saw the unit hanging awkwardly outside the building. As it turned out-the interior piping had been torched out, the ****** on the back of the alarm left it perched eerily in the brick wall just waiting to come home. I spoke with the owner and he was happy to make a small sale!

More progress. First I changed the center caps on my wheels. They were pretty rough. I am pretty sure the replacements are fake, even though they say BMW on them.





You can also see the wheels are now MUCH cleaner.

I also cleaned the motor again, there is one more time before it will be good enough. Then washed the whole car for the first time. Yes, it is going to rain, but it needed it.







I have the Novus and a new screen protector and will polish the Nav and get rid of the anti-glare coating because of scratches.

Cleaned up the last of the drywall mess. Ground the hook pad off the DA and glued a new one on.

havent been in the garage since the last snowfall...
been working around the house doing some little projects. my stepdaughter moved out, and weve been moving old furniture, and clearing out her room.

replaced a couple of halogen can lights with LED's in the basement stairwell, cleaned up the wood mess, from a couple weeks ago, from making the centerpieces for my nieces baby shower.

decided it was time to organize the mess of power tools on the shelf in my reloading room, repurposed an old 2 drawer filing cabinet for my sanders and saws. picked up all of the wood scraps from around the table saw and miter saw so they can get burned once the snow melts.

Spent the first 45 minutes getting back to zero after my son worked on his car. Then finished moving into the new to me steel cabinet I heisted from my mother’s garage.

It is sprayed with thinned rustoleum enamel through a HF primer gun with 2.0 tip. I added the “tip over” protection on the wall.

That's actually a good sign. The rougher the wood the more it soaks up and the more it's protected. You can't get smooth pine to soak up anything.

Got this old CMan belt/disc sander put back together. Besides having to completely disassemble and clean off a ton of dirt & cobwebs, I replaced the bearings in the rear roller, greased front bushings, replaced power cord, and straightened out the sheet metal pieces. It's a 2/3HP cast iron model. Every nut, bolt, and screw on it is metric, and was covered in rust so I had to wire wheel them all clean.

Still need to adjust the pulley and belt tension, just ran out of time today.

Unfortunately it's missing the table, belt cover, and dust chutes... A lot of parts are discontinued and I didn't spend much on it to begin with so I'm not sure how much I want to sink into it.

Finished replacing an oil pressure sensor in my ‘96 Accord Wagon that’s been the source of my driveway stains.. stupid $10 part.. I guess it’s almost 22 years old-so it’s allowed to have at least some minor issues. Honda sure didn’t make it easy to get to..

So-for the next time-I brought this home tonight.. older PMW 7000 lb lift that’s only ever see personal hobby duties.. just needs to be put back up and cleaned up. It’s a heavy SOB too.. per the manufacturers documents-it’s in the area of 1600lbs..

Fun stuff. I have old signs from the ATV club (minister of transport approved) in the Can-Am Garage.

Last night was the ATV club's annual torch ride (think pickle jars filled with flammable liquid with a fuse, um wick). I was the closing guy, making sure the long line of 75+ ATVs didn't leave anyone behind.

So, garage time included digging trailer out of snow, clearing around it with the snowblower then getting everything ready and eventually put away.

Today's spectator sport is watching a dude shovel off my roof. I don't do ladders! If he falls, I'm dragging his *** over the fence to the neighbors!

Got my shelves put together. Since the insulation and drywall is not done yet, I wanted to be able to move them away from the wall, so I got some heavy duty casters and mounted them. It will be nice to move them out for cleaning also.

Literally night and day. My ceilings are 12' 4" between the beams and 10' 6" to the bottom of the beams.

I had a lighting rep layout and spec the lights and I couldn't be happier.

My fixtures are Lithonia but I don't recall the part number. If youre interested in the same fixtures, let me know and I can look it up and send it to you. I think they were about $100 each.
