"Free" CFL bulbs @ Lowe's

I was at Lowe's today and got a box of 7 CFL bulbs for around $9.00. There is a $10.00 off coupon inside for a purchase over $50 at Lowe's. Coupon is good until 2/1/10

Getting 10 bucks off a 50 dollar purchase is not free in my book if you don't like the store or need something .

Whats up with the Lowes bashing? The 10 off coupon is for the 13 watt or 60 watt I did pick up a pac but I use the 75 and 100's mostly

Same deal is (or has been) available on 9v batteries. 4-pack for 9.97 with a $10 coupon in it, so the batteries are free. We have a commercial account at work, so I have got about 28 batteries free or $70 off on things we would have purchased anyway regardless of the discount, whichever way you want to look at it.

Or go to the post office and pick up a relocation package that includes the same coupon with no need to purchase lightbulbs or batteries that you may or may not need (or may be able to purchase elsewhere at lower cost).

i did a complete renovation this year on a house i bought. i cleaned out the post office everytime i drove by it on the relocation packs. they include the 10% discount, best thing is that all the big box store here accept the coupon. also, lowes does a veterns discount of 10% that the competiters accept.
