Got a new to me KRL1001 today.

I have a KRL761 with a little half hutch but I've missed my KRL7002 since the say I sold it and today I finally found it's replacement,KRL1001. Luckily for me I called as soon as it was posted and even haggled him down to 1600 from his 1900 asking price. Chrome drawer trim, all liner, writing surface, 2 keys and an SS top to boot. His phone was ringing non stop while we were loading it up today. I don't know why he still has removed the ad at this point.

I bought that same box (in black) new in 2001...IMO, it's one of the best laid out 2 bay boxes I've seen. I wouldn't sell mine for $1900 though. You got a deal.

Man... what a deal! I had a deal for one on the hook here locally from a tech here at the shop but he backed out last minute. Those KRL1001's are great. The depth is what I was after. Takes something quite a bit wider to offset that width vs. depth!

Got to looking at the drawer configuration on your new box and I think it’s the best I’ve ever seen on a double bank!! Man I wish I would have picked it up at that price.

Good deal on the box! I love my big krl. I started with a krl761 in royal blue just like yours. I like how you or whoever moved the 4" tall drawers up under the wide top drawer

good score. thats a later model 1001 with the single lock... mine is a late 90's (96', I think) with the two locks on the bottom. and it was a craiglist deal too that I drove 3.5 hours for 500 bucks!!!! it was a horrible pic, but the dual locks and trim gave it away. Its not nearly as nice as yours, no top, no liners and the slides and box needed disassembled and cleaned extensively. yours has a better drawer configuration. the left stupid deep drawer is sort of a waste, but I like the 4" deep drawers a lot. anyways awesome score

I then traded it and another used CL box for a cranberry 3 bank KRL1032 (wide drawers)

I've always loved those 3 bays with full 2 bay drawers. What kind of deal did you make for that?
