PVC Conduit to Sub Panel Connection Question

Going to run a buried 2-2-2-4 MHF from house to new shop.
The shop sub panel is flush mounted between 2x4 studs.
Siding is LP Smartside 7/16". I have to bring the conduit out of ground and up the outside of sheathing. Than turn 90 deg to penetrate the sheathing right into back of panel.

Question is what fittings/boxes/hardware should be used to connect to panel?

An LB and box adapter most likely.

An expansion joint between where it comes out of ground and the lb wouldn't hurt either if you get frost in your area.

I Hear you guys on the expansion fitting.
Problem with the LB is the sheathing is only 7/16” thick. The ****** on the LB is longer than that. By the time I put a male adapter , locknut and bushing on I’m inches into the back of panel.
Trying to find out if there is a better way.

You could convert to emt above the expansion joint,then go into bottom of a cast Lb with compression connector.
Then come out of top of Lb with a pipe ****** into back of panel.

You could use a chase ****** into the panel if the dimensions work out that the LB can protrude into the wall and actually touch the back of the panel, which I'm guessing is probably the case.

I told you the better way. Use a box adapter.

Had to google what a box adapter was. Same thing as my chase ****** suggestion, but for PVC. I assumed a metal LB. Either way, that's the ticket.

Ok Aceman, I hear you and now understand what a box adapter is. Appreciate the suggestions from everyone.
Only have to get through 36” of snow and frozen ground to get trench dug.
