I placed an online order for the previously posted shop vacs (2), rev-a-shelf (2), and some of the Dremel kits at a store about 3 hours away. I fully expected the order to be cancelled, but it was worth the risk, since it was a 6 hour drive. The order never said it was filled, it always said processing, so I waited a few days and then made a call to confirm my order was ready, and I was off. I arrived to meet the person that had filled my order and she commented on how cheap the items were, and how happy she was to buy the third shop vac, and that the tool guy scooped up the rest of the Dremel kits, lol. I thanked her for filling my order, and I don't think the thought of cancelling it crossed her mind... fortunately. I went back in to see what I could find and my first score was this for $14: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Gatehouse-...le-Lock-Keyed-Entry-Door-Handleset/1000233593. I grabbed quite a few of them.
I then found 4 packs of the LED T8's for $10, and began loading up my cart. I didn't know it, but the woman in lighting called the manager over. Blah, I always feel like store employees hate people finding clearance items. He arrives and wants to talk to me about getting a Pro account. I assume he is just trying to see what I'm up to, and when I tell him I'm really just searching for clearance items... he tells me that he is happy that I am getting rid of the old stuff! He then tells me to see him when I am checking out and he will further discount the clearance stuff. That person's shift ended while I was there, I was there a couple hours, lol, but he told me to see another person up front to take care of me. When I got to the register, I was told that the manager told them to give me 50% off clearance items! I loaded up my 4Runner and then went back in for round 2. With those 2 shop vacs however, I really didn't have much space left in the car, but bought enough to finish filling it up! I just had a similar experience at TSC, they gave me an additional 50% off clearance because they said they wanted to get rid of it.

lol looks like you went on quite the shopping spree... What on earth are you going to do with 17 of those door handle kits???

I'll add them to the hoard of other stuff I have recently purchased because the deal was too good to pass up! :bounce:

Forgive the ignorance but what page is the LED sale on? I search this thread for LED and find nothing. Went back about 5 pages and didn't see any mention either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

It's been discussed on several previous spread-out pages. Search the thread for "bulb" instead.

How are those Utilitech lights treating those who have them or is this not the place to ask this? I use Hyperikons now but they are $10 each vs. $2 for the Utilitech. The Hyperikons are amazing though but with my new garage I'll add a bunch more if these work well for you guys. Hard to see but are those frosted/diffuser lenses on those Utilitechs? Certainly is nice that you don't have to gut the ballasts of the Utilitech. I didn't even know that was an option.

The Hyperikons are ballast-bypass/direct wire LED's, so you never have to worry about replacing failed ballasts someday, as well as the additional power draw from the ballasts. If you can find item 778115, those Utilitech LEDs are the only one I'm aware of that can be direct-wired, but all the stores here in Upstate NY are completely out of them. Personally, I'd prefer to spend a bit more to not worry about the ballasts, though if you just want to switch to LED the plug-n-play tubes are the cheapest way if you already have T8 fixtures.

I've been doing research on those which retain the ballasts and many say that don't work, are dim, glow, etc. I retained all the old ballasts so I have 8 plus if I ever need them but I hotter to never go back to ballast fired bulbs if possible. Especially since I've gutted the ballasts out of all ten of mine. I'll look for 778115s.

Thanks
Dave

I purchased the 283285 utilitech fixture to go with the discounted LEDs. They work great with whatever ballast are in those.

Just ordered a bunch from store 1014 (north attleboro MA) with free parcel shipping. Wonder what the odds of it getting cancelled are?

Pretty high since you didn't wait for shipping confirmation first. Now you risk an influx of orders getting noticed.

Essentially zero - the order will ship from a store local to the recipient, won't affect the stock count at that store, and even if others order there will not be a surge of orders to notice.

Thanks for the location, it helps others get the deal.

What the heck... I'll order 10 and spend a couple bucks... lol... Will post if it gets shipped.

Figure these have to be better than the crappy HF freebies...

When I ordered from Louisiana it came from across town.

Aww my battery order yesterday from MA got cancelled. :(

Trying Piscataway since they seem to have decent inventory.

Did you receive a cancellation notice? I haven’t heard from them about my battery order yet
