The only one I'm familiar with is TIF (but that was when they first came out). Testo seems to be the most common one at work. Though I got a glimpse today of the new Yellow Jacket touchscreen set-up. Whoa me - I'm getting old!

Ive been using Fieldpiece for the last few years and they've been pretty good to me. Currently using the sman 460. Have had a few issues here and there but Fieldpiece has excellent customer service. I also have an Iconnect setup that I use in certain situations.

I bought the Testo that has bluetooth and read the SuperHeat etc on my smartphone. I did not realize the manifold would not go back in the case with the hoses on. Makes it a ***** to store the unit. Its too expensive to leave out of the case... Very accurate and easy to use.

I was looking to go the digital route and wanted a set of the digicools. When I went to pull the trigger, they were discontinued with no replacement. I never did get a set, but have still wanted some. I may revisit them and see which ones fit my needs best.

I'm using a Fieldpiece clamp temp probe with my temperature adaptor and Fluke MM. It has outlasted the original Fluke clamp probe by YEARS. Have to check into the Fieldpiece set and see what it's about. Thanks!

I'm not active enough anymore to need anything more than my analog gauges, but I see a lot of Fieldpiece and Testo setups. I have never liked any Yellowjacket product.

I've got several analog set-ups. Discovered years ago no one brand had all the features I liked, so, I've taken to building my own sets from parts I like. Marsh gauges, Robinair manifold, Yellow Jacket hoses with the seal tight adapters. And I prefer metal gauge bodies with glass lenses. More brittle than the Lexan "unbreakable" ones but the Lexan ones get so scratched it's hard to read through them. Have 3 or 4 either in the van or at the shop so I've always got a spare if a break one.

No matter how hard I try I always seems to scrape or bang or drop the dang things. Just thinking a digital set-up at $300-400 (or more) isn't going to last for me. Maybe I'm just a clumsy old fart but that's what I'm thinking.

Bought a Fieldpiece SMAN 460 last year. I like it. Select refrigerant, clamp on thermocouples and go!

I'm not a full time HVAC contractor. Just maintaining our own equipment and do about 2 installs a year when I feel like doing it.
