There are 100s of ways around this but I'm not going to help someone take advantage of the system that's for sure. I've not been here long but it seems some people take advantage of this just for resale purposes. This is a great idea for those who use it as a discount option not as a resale one.

Personally speaking, I don't resell. The max quantity I buy is what I can use myself (and sometimes one or two extra for wedding presents). I don't use coupons either. I do buy clearance, but isn't that why it's on clearance?

In my case the "ban" only lasted until I called them and they took it off. I don't understand why my account would get flagged though. Most of my recent purchases were kinda large and full price.

Like TT Vert just said, it's probably better not to discuss it anyway so as not to give certain people any bright ideas. If you're not actually doing anything sketchy, then I don't think you need to worry about getting banned. If you do get flagged incorrectly, it seems they are able to see their error pretty quick.

It's all just algorithms in the code... False positives are probably more common than not. Not like some person is sitting in front of a computer 24/7 monitoring every purchase that comes through the system... lol.

I did get my batteries. They threw a pack of 8 batteries in a 12x12 box w/ NO packaging. I got the package w/ 8 batteries rolling around. Nice attention to detail there guys.

Anybody else ever deal with an error code 237 on the website? A google search suggests that it is used by the website IT guys to block orders for accounts they have flagged as problematic. Some people claim that they have been permanently banned from placing orders.

I'd be very curious to know what you need to do to get flagged. My account was just flagged for the second time. Both times they cleared it after I called.

I don't do anything sketchy. I don't use coupons. I do buy lots of clearance stuff, but never in obscene quantities. I also buy plenty of stuff at full price. I don't know why they'd flag my account. Obviously they decide its in error because they clear it immediately.

Maybe just a word of warning to anybody that is thinking of purchasing 600 - 1200 of an item! lol!

You could use a 10% off coupon if you don't want to wait, or even talk to the person in plumbing and they could make you a deal too for a purchase like that...

My PC Restorer & sanding drums just showed up today. Can't wait to try this out and see how it compares to my belt sander. I think the PC has an adjustable speed which would be nice.

EDIT - Just got confirmation for pickup of some Anker Power Banks @ $2.33/ea that are at a store 45min+ away... It had a good qty in inventory, so instead of being greedy and buying them all I left several (assuming inventory count was correct) for the person picking the order, no doubt they noticed the price because now there are 0... lol. Going to go pick them up tomorrow... Too late in the day today...

They can only ban by IP and most people have a dynamic IP anyway. Sometimes just rebooting your cable modem/router will change your IP.

Not necessarily true... If you are browsing while logged into lowes, then it knows who you are. Even if you aren't logged in I'm sure they save the IP address last time you did log in and / or check cookie info...

oh well yeah if you are logged into your account that may be tied to your search. There is no way for them to ban other than by IP or account unless they either ban an entire subnet, ISP, etc.

So your JSON scraper will also pull will ship data? I've seen some of these items say they'll ship until you get to checkout where it is not shippable. It says "delivery available". Perhaps that means it can either be shipped via truck freight and/or UPS. Curious where you find the data that says it will ship via UPS and not truck freight.

I've been to that store many times. actually looked for the PC restorer, nowhere to be found. This store is in the middle of one of the worst neighborhoods in Chicago. To anyone thinking of making the trip, don't bother. The count of 1 will drop to 0 when someone orders it online. Gets cancelled and then it pops up back to 1 in stock. Been doing that for sometime now.

Sorry bud. Looking through this thread posts are all over the place on and off topic. My question to you was in the hopes of getting a bit of info on your JSON parsing so I could make a script that would help others around here as well as myself so one could argue it's on the topic of "deals". Regardless my script should be done soon and hopefully I can help others with less programming skill find deals as well rather than few picking and choosing who gets what insider info.

My bad, I didn't think to search for the Venetian Bronze model... Funny how they price the two differently when it's only a stupid piece of plastic... For what they charge (and their ongoing fees) you would think they would include both bezels in a package...

Just got back from my trip to the far away Lowe's with all the Anker power banks...

Had to stop at the Little Debbie outlet store too... ugh... bought wayyyy too much there but at least it only cost $6! LOL...

Got my 12 power banks! I was really shocked. The guy was like, "Man, I really wanted one of these but the price just last week was like twenty-something"... I told him I would sell him one of these for what I paid but he declined... So at least I offered...

I also found some of the PC heavy-duty sanding rolls while walking around and a few other things. Spent another $100 before leaving the store... curse you Lowe's! LOL

It's new... I think inventory just dipped when a few stores marked it down and still had parcel shipping so the SD group wiped them clean till they can restock.

Even if they do eventually discontinue it, I'm sure plenty of 3rd party options will be available on Amazon & eBay... It's just a roll of sandpaper... You could even make your own.
