I really need a floor jack. I'm collecting disability and now on a fixed income. I'm hoping to do a lot of work on my 2 vehicles this spring/summer. Jeep Cherokee and Mercury Villager.

I've got 20 dollars in points to use by the 25th and thinking about getting this jack. Would end up costing me about 17 bucks.

Anyone think of any reason this wouldn't be a good choice for me? Thanks.

That wont work well on a jeep cherokee. I have used the same one (they are chinese made and branded for multiple different brands) with success of lowered vehicles.

Id look for a good 3 ton jack for your vehicles and not a low profile one either

Thanks guys...I'll pass on this one. I'd go for the 3 ton, but was hoping to find something cheaper. Still got 4 days to think about it though. :) Not a lot of choices on CL around me.

In my "I am am so broke" youth, I used a cheap bottle jack and jack stands to get my vehicles "up in the air". Lots of up and down, moving things around and TIME. 15-20 minutes just to get the front end off the ground so I could change the oil.

Have you considered the Daytona jack @ Harbor Freight? I saw Arcan jacks at costco last weekend. They where $94, and a pretty decent jack.

Just to add, the Sears jacks aren't what they use to be. If you search around you'll find they are pretty crappy. I had one I took to the scrap yard. It constantly bled down.
