Hi Guys, How many inches of sub base? I am in Michigan and plan to have minimum of 5 inches of cement maybe 6 inches.

Minimum of 4inches if base rock. Not to be nit picky, but you don’t want a cement floor, you want a concrete floor; that’s like saying you want to eat flour instead of eating a cake. Sorry I do concrete for a living, just a pet-peeve of mine.

I just had a bid from a contractor and he stated they use 2 to 3 inches of 21AA. Ugh! I asked you wouldn't use 4 to 6 inches? He said no,..people ask for that but it's going to crack anyway. Okay, on to the next contractor's bid....
