Helped a friend change his clutch, slave, clutch hose and clean/adjust his pivot bearings on his 04 R1150GS. Not bad, took 7 hours. His clutch disc was fried, and the pressure plate was definitely overheated at some point.

















Only hiccough was the bleeder screw for the slave was stripped, so we split the bleeder and force bled it.

I bought a used aluminum hospital linen cart, 2 of them actually. ( Clean linens, not the beshit ones.) I reconfigured it to be a toolbox/storage center for all of my woodworking and homeowner tools. I just have to drag it down to the basement, if it fits.

It's pretty large. Drawers are 4 and 6" by 30" over 24" deep. The drawer on the bottom right will hold 6 Milwaukee organizers I got at Homies.

Cut the shelves for my welding cart, did some polyurethane coats. Sprayed the piss out of my new to me horizontal bandsaw with brake clean and then foaming engine degreaser. Huge improvement. Then my buddy came over with his 07 focus and I replaced the inner cv axle seal. What a pain in the ***. I ended up taking a piece of 2" pvc and grinding out some of the inner wall out to fit the seal then notching it clear the transmission. I actually kept that piece and put it in my toolbox.

I bought a Vintage MAC side-cabinet for close to scrap price. The cabinet had suffered a difficult service life. 6 hours of TLC brought the side cabinet back to just OK.
A set of casters allows easy movement of the side cabinet so the floor can be cleaned easily.
The future plan for this cabinet may include a colour change.

I installed a TouchDRO on the mill. Oh, damn it's nice!

The mill had scales and a crappy DRO when purchased, and we've been limping by. I recently found out about TouchDRO, and ordered the board. The tablet arrived today, so I made a sheetmetal stand for it, cleaned up the wiring and got it calibrated.

Since I was dealing with the mill, I trammed the vice, cleaned it deeper than usual and set my X & Y 0 for the DRO.

Nice! I'm guilty of doing something similar do a garage door when I was 14... I thought my Mother was going to kill me, but she came out with a camera laughing. I was so relieved... My punishment was having to fix the garage door all by myself. Perhaps that's why I like working on/in garages so much!?!?

Stripped down the steering wheel on the Spitfire. Hub was pretty scubby, had to sand and smooth it all down. Leather cover was stiff, had latex paint splattered on it, stitching rotted out. Was able to clean the leather and condition it. Hub got stripped and repainted. Leather got resewn in place.

Horn button was crazed and cracked. Horn button assembly is $35 plus shipping or about $50. I may do that in the future, but for now I designed a quick 3D printed insert and made a paper printed insert fir the face. This was laminated for weather proofing and give a nice gloss. Thought this was a good spot for a little custom touch with the car's name of "Giles".

It is not a fantastic job, but it will certainly do until I replace it all with a wood rim wheel in the future. Still, it looks pretty darn nifty.

Well I stopped at my painters to pick up the last piece of the car puzzle.
Installed my custom painted one piece radiator cover and I am very happy with the final results.
My old 3 piece cover was okay, this is better....

I also cleaned up my benches and put away and found homes for various parts and tools.
Still using all 3 bays to park all our vehicles as it looks like rain for the next few days.
