That is the right size and I do need one for my Heritage top box!19" L x 7-1/2" D x 2-1/4" H. That would be cool. Especially if someone needs one to complete a box.

It's a skateboard company and it's brand has quite the following.
What goes in the box? Tools and parts to fix the skateboards? It's a skateboard company

Looks like the toolboxes were sold empty. The "Supreme" company apparently has a habit of releasing limited-edition branded 'whatever they feel like' items each year, just for fun/collectors. Background: Supreme: The 50 Greatest Accessories of All Time

It follows then, that on some skateboard forum, exist that special breed of Supreme fanboys who insist Supreme socks are the best they've ever worn, who are sure that their Supreme driver gives them a better deal than my Supreme driver, who defend out of guilt the predatory credit game Supreme plays, and post up pics of all their GREEN handled Supreme stuff?![]()
Maybe they borrowed the name from their vintage wrenches! It's amazing that sets like that still show up in junk shops. Bravo to your good fortune, beemer. Also, good luck that you found something to trade me for the Craftsman 10-drawer cabinet tray!I stopped in a junk shop where I picked up this

Not sure what you mean by that. That's a wartime box. And the wartime sets had /32nds sockets (19, 21, 25, and 32). Those pebbled handles could be wartime, too. They were introduced in 1944. Hard to tell if the glare is due to high polish or chrome-plating, but if they have a natural steel finish, they're wartime, matching the box. If they're chrome, they're probably post-war. The embossing with the O's (PLOMB TOOL vs. PLVMB TVVL) is a red herring, no pun intended. Plomb had a massive backlog of tool boxes made in the late 1930's and they used them throughout the war, painting them green instead of the customary red. Boxes with both markings (PLOMB TOOL and PLVMB TVVL) are shown in the 1944-1946 catalog (#19-R REPRINT) and lots of wartime sets show up in the "older" boxes.bmwrd0 said:...the **/32 sockets weren't right for the box
I think it's sage to say a You **** is in order for s freebie Green Egg and table.I guess you could call it a tool, gotta have something to cook with. Freebie from a neighbor down the street and around the corner. They haven't used it in years and had already sold it two years ago to donate the proceeds to to a local dog rescue. The purchaser never came to get it, they just made the donation. My wife mentioned that she was looking at a Green Egg and they told us to come get theirs before they pushed it to the road with a "free" sign on it. I pressure washed the table and cleaned out the egg. Going to Northern Tool in the morning to pick up some new wheels and some L brackets to square and stiffen up the table as it is a bit loose. Will treat the teak before putting it back in use.
Ah, okay. Interesting. I didn't know Plomb was still making /32nd sockets in the Proto period. Most mfgrs were phasing them out. The Plomb LA would match the box if it was red. Haha. The handles are late for that box. Maybe one of those kits they sold at a huge discount to vets.Lugz, the /32's are of different vintages than the rest; Proto LA, Plomb LA. The set is chrome, so post-war.
And although it isn't a tool, picked this bad boy up off of CL

Look at those faces! The claw feet! It needs a little work and reupholstery, but man is it cool. Wife is not really with it though... It is a genuine English Morris chair, a recliner even. Came out of the house they filmed Sometimes a Great Notion in. A little over $300.

Well, went to a Barn Sale (antique pipe wrench for $80!) and a garage sale (nothing interesting) I stopped in a junk shop where I picked up this:

Rather clean looking, isn't it? Well, take a look at what was inside:

Yeah, clean on the inside too...
(It has been used, but not much, and the **/32 sockets weren't right for the box, though they had been in there for a long time. It was $50 but he had been asking $75 for a while. Feel pretty good about that!)

Oh, man, now that drowning scene is going to be in my head all day. Ken Kesey, one of our most underrated writers!Came out of the house they filmed Sometimes a Great Notion in.
Absolutely. I shouldn't have dove right into the details without acknowledging that up front. Beemer - you should definitely post it in the Plomb thread, which is currently in the middle of a Pebble hinge handle frenzy.bmw, mixed heritage or not that's a fantastic find.
Haha. Perfect comment! If ever there was a chair to sit and admire your Plomb collection...

The garage was jam packed full of stuff. I cleaned out most of the machinist stuff on the 3rd day. Not real sure what he did but most of everything was new or barley used. They went bat **** crazy pricing stuff. They had precision screwdrivers marked $5 each, there were single craftsman sockets with $4 price tags. I went on day 2 and they wouldnt budge on prices they said they were going to drop it by 30% on Saturday but when I showed up they dropped it to %50 off. Besides me and one other guy we were the only ones buying a large amount and they still didnt budge off the %50 off mark. From the pre sale pictures to when I was there today I would say they still have %75 of the garage contents after 3 days. Not good in my opinion... They plan to hold it again in a month and may bring out more tools. I may go back and try to clean up because there was still PLENTY of nice stuff but still over price at half off. What's the story on all that? Some of those are still new in packaging!
Am I seeing 3 Mitutoyo combo square sets in there, AND 3 Mitutoyo long travel dial indicators? I hope you have an ebay account, you can probably sell just those 6 things and get your money back...
