Yippee ki yay....what a ride.

Scored sweet deals on these hammers. $5 and change (top picture). One of the hammers came with a tool belt holder. Sweet! The website isn’t reflecting the latest prices I guess. I got really lucky. The bottom picture- top hammer and the one on the left are the titanium hammers. I purchased another version of the steel hammer that looks like the titanium version. I have 3 now. My brother will receive the extra one while I keep the other 2.

Call or polk around your nearest lowes store. They just might have these hammers lower than the website prices. As to the primo hammers (the titanium and steel head with wooden handle)...these are very difficult to find. I wouldn’t expect to locate them at any store at this point.

Links:

I purchased the extra one for $15

I didnt check if those hammers ship, but there is quite a bit of stock left up here in Alaska. Search based on zip codes 99645 and 99501. There are 4 stores ranging from 10 to 70% off.

No shipping anywhere on those hammers, they are in-store deals only.

If you can get any for under $10 and *need* a hammer, I would say its a good deal.

Today's version of 'LOWES IS SHADY'

I was at a Lowes this morning about 60 miles from my house. I was in town dropping some old baby gear to a friend, pulled up a price checker app, saw a decent deal, so I swung by Lowes.

This item was marked down to $7.56. Retail is $169.00

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kichler-Camella-25-98-in-9-Light-Natural-brass-Williamsburg-Candle-Chandelier/50356012#

They had 4 in stock, I saw them. Top shelf in lighting. Nothing on display with the other chandeliers.

I was in a huge time crunch and had an hour+ to get home, so didn't have someone get the lift to get them down. Rather, I ordered online for store pickup as I was walking out.

Lowes called about 20 minutes ago. "We don't have any." Yes you do. I saw them there 2 hours ago. I was transferred back to lighting, where the employee emphasized that there were none in stock.

After walking him through EXACTLY where to locate them, he finally admitted 'Ok. I see them." Great.

He asked how many I wanted. I told him 4. Note - inventory was wrong. There were at least 5-6 there, I ordered 4.

His response literally left me speechless, and that's rare for me.

"Well you're just going to flip them."

I had no comeback to that. Didn't know what to say. Truth be told, I probably will flip 2 of the 4. My neighbor and good friend is a contractor and I'm sure he'll give me $50 apiece for 2. But I have a legitimate use for the other 2. More importantly, what business is it of his?

Since our phone call the Lowes in question has reset the price online to retail - still showing 4 in stock. Don't know if that was done automatically because their system thinks I took the last 4, or if they're going to attempt to screw me out of them.

Kicking myself for not just waiting there and grabbing them while I was there. Oh well.

Happy Easter to everyone on the forum.

That's why you NEVER do in-store pickup for a clearance item like that...

Should have waited and got them in-hand...

There will always be more deals though...

Truck hauling....hahaha

Another sweet find.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-300...-Stainless-Steel-Tool-Cabinet-Blue/1000222199

Inventory count was way off per each store. What a surprise (sarcasm). This was definitely one of those deals employees wanted for themselves. I called a store that said they had 5 of them when it said just one was in stock online. I had to go at it with more than a few phone calls. In the end I was given one heck of a deal....well duh since I purchased 2 units. Haha

Oh yeah, these tool carts had paperwork inside which I’ll show in the following pictures. I know what the manufacturer is eluding to, but I wonder what P.O.P exactly means. Another thing- these tool carts come preassembled. The wheels can be seen from outside the box/ inside the pallet. So weird the way they shipped these to the store.

The last picture shows how to remove the pallet. You have to remove the plastic tie downs, remove the top cardboard portion, be lucky enough to notice the paperwork resting topside of the tool cart...and proceed with the instructions from there.

I didn’t know retail was at nearly $600 before taxes. Wow! Refer to picture below.

Oh- these carts are a limited edition just like the description says in the link. There’s a metal plate number on the inside swing door of which one your tool cart is out of 10,000 units. I wouldn’t really call that a limited run (10,000) for the sake of tool cart production; maybe if they were limited to 5,000 units then that would be more of a limited production run. Meh....

One final note- one of the lifts isn’t working on one of the carts. Hopefully Kobalt will send one to me as a free replacement under their warranty. I’ll deal with that after the holiday weekend.

Wait, what? Haha...I like it when you post. Since it mentioned the side handle with the notice, I think it actually means Preparation of Package or something like that. There’s little items that need to be installed i.e. the side handle and the little storage bins that go onto the interior pegboard inside the tool cart.

Stanley pry bars and crow bars are 50-70% off in my neck of the woods. Picked up 4 of them yesterday for less than $5/ea along with some vaughan hammers.

Looks like delivery is available as well.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Stanley-Wonderbar-Pry-Bar/1207635

It’s about time someone posted this!

Those are the most noticeable ones posted at the store. They have been on clearance for just a little over 2 weeks. They dropped in price really fast.

There’s 1 or 2 other smaller ones on sale. Polk around online and I’m sure you’ll find them.

Edit: I’m on a mobile device currently and quickly looked up the remaining few you didn’t mention.

Here’s the rest of the ones on clearance-

And

And

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Stanley-12-in-High-Carbon-Spring-Steel-Claw-Bar/1000004824

....I believe that’s all of the pry bars on clearance.

It is point of purchase- a retail term. Signage, banners, cardboard display, etc.

I noticed that IO thing too. I kinda thought that’s what it meant. Well, it’s a good thing I was lucky enough to catch two on sale b/c I scooped up each for just a hair over $100 each. :rocker:

Also look where sos stuff is. There is usually some good buys. YMMV

Any special order returns get a huge markdown right away so they don't have to store them, and they're already going to take a loss on them. I see lots of cheap doors, windows, and countertops.

I/O means in/out. You only get so many in and when there gone your out. It's not just for holidays, it can also be a product test, promo run, or just a overstock of discontinued product. Great flag to catch a good deal

Had to pick up a couple of bolts, got a coupon on my receipt for $5 off a $25 in-store purchase at the same store. Not sure if it prints randomly, if it is regional, store by store, or what, but would have missed it if the self checkout person had not pointed it out to me. Since she knew to look, that suggests it is printing on most receipts.

Strange . One of my nearby stores had all of their Garden Treasurers bird seed and suet 75 to 90% off. Every other nearby store full price. Anyways, started adding bunches of stuff to my cart. Went to check out, several of my items went back up to full price. I'm like what's going on here. quantities were dropping rapidly.then it dawned on me. This was a little after 6pm. store was closing and all the employees were scarfing them up!! Oh well!
Can't win em all. Happy Easter Lowe's employees!

I read a couple reviews where people's dogs / other animals chewed these up. So if you have pets that like to chew & dig, might want to keep these away from them.

Just noticed there are some fire pit tool sets still hanging around for $9.99, local pickup only. Item 669005 Central Richmond Lowe’s.

Note these are for outdoor fire pits, not fireplaces. I bought one when they first showed up and I’m pleased with it.

There is also this I found. From doing a little searching the 24-hr stuff is a one-shot short-lived deal when you have a real bad infestation and need to kill all life stages of grubs fast.

"You want to apply the 24-hour curative if high numbers of grubs are found in the fall and in spring before early May. Our research indicates they will kill 20-80 percent of grubs when applied in September or 20-55 percent when applied in late October. They are not as effective as the preventive compounds in reducing grub numbers."

The other product I linked previously is a preventative and kills newly hatched grubs, what you should use every spring (Late June / Early July) and has a longer residual time. It kills the NEXT generation of grubs, so existing grubs that have been in your yard since last fall it doesn't kill...

This is an in-store deal only... Cheapest price was $0.10, varies up to $1.39.

Reviews are kind of mixed, some people complained it hardly sprayed any distance. My store happened to be at 35-cents so I grabbed 8 cans. I like to use them more for spiders (which we have a F-ton of them around here) than wasps (which I'll see maybe one or two).

I also saw this in store @ $3.18 but I noticed a sticker on the cap that said "Try this product for FREE" and it's for a mail-in-rebate. I did NOT check the valid dates on the rebate, so if you do decide to purchase in store and go that route, take a look at the offer first so you don't get burned.

EDIT - According to Hexen, the REBATE HAS EXPIRED.

You can only order 1 at a time... I would not go overboard trying to purchase a ton, every spring/fall you can usually find this stuff being clearanced out for a buck or two. I do like to put down this stuff in my yard every 3 months (during the warm months at least)...

This is one reason I hate MY local Lowe's... The other week I went in looking for these. Walked the entire tool area several times, none to be found. Asked the tool employee about it, he takes me to where the PC Restorers & sanding drums are and says, "Well, I guess the inventory count was off"... (Said the had like 6 of each in stock.)

I go there today wandering around and see these!!! ARGH... I already got some same price at another store, but man is it irritating...

Also I found some 100W LED bulbs on clearance that last time they said they didn't have even though inventory was like 50+... At least now there were maybe a dozen boxes on the shelf... But they didn't have any 3-way LED bulbs?!?! The whole light bulb section was in such disarray, I swear there were more incandescent bulbs than LEDs...

They also had a bunch of GE brand lights, but no price tags on the shelves and scanning with the app was always "Product Not Found"... So I gave up on those...

Oh yeah, while I was in the tool section too I saw a lady marking down the price on hammers some more... Nothing that I wanted to buy but might be worth checking prices at your local store to see if they dropped at all...

Oh, I knew as soon as I read that, that rebate is expired. :( I heard about that Combat Max Foam rebate late last year but didn't get around to buying a can before the deadline of 12/31/2017.
