I picked up the below sockets at the habitat for humanity last week! I bought them because they looked sk made to me but after I looked closer, they have no identifying marks aside from the 2 indents that are next to the size stamping. Have you guys ever seen these and if so what brand are they? I think they are sk but I have other sk that is labeled so why are these not ?

Sk labeled sockets on top and the ones I bought are on the bottom

All the sockets have the two indents but they look to uniform and well done to be an owner identification mark

Yes. S-K made Brazil tools brand. Go back and see if they have a CHROME-ALLOY marked beavertail ratchet! I am looking for one.

EDIT: Explanation - I just found a set of sockets in a case last weekend, and reported them on the 2018 Garage Sale thread and also on the SK thread. Link to SK thread post here. Then scroll down to see bbrins' fabulous complete set.

I tossed the place but could not find a ratchet at all but knew enough to buy all the sockets I could find. I think I got 6 total ? I paid 25 cents each . What era are these ? Wartime ?

I am new to the SK Brazil brand, but the use of CHROME ALLOY (Williams and others also used it in their branding) is always 1940 and 1941. The Brazil guys on the SK site date it more categorically to "pre-war." Maybe they know something I don't that dates it to earlier than 1940-1941, but I am sticking to that until shown otherwise. I seem to recall seeing literature somewhere (a catalog page or a brochure), but I'm not sure where. Again, the Brazil guys on the SK thread may know.

Alloy Artifacts has catalog information dating the Brazil sockets to ‘36 - ‘37. Here are the ones I’ve collected. They are about the same vintage as the S-K Chrome marked tools.

Wow, I did not realize they where that old. They are in pretty good shape and where certainly ahead of the curve in terms of chrome and appearances!
