Problems from spraying in cellulose over batts?

I've been interested in getting some spray in insulation from one of the box stores. For 2000 sqft it seems like it'd be about $800 for the bags.

My wife was concerned with me doing it because of the future problems coming up if there is ever a need for AC or electrical work in the attic space. She's concerned about them not being able to find the wiring underneath the insulation. It's a fair point I guess.

The house is a year old here in Central Florida and R30 insulation was installed in the attic. I'd like the supplement that with the cellulose to hopefully improve the overall insulation and fill in any gaps in the batts. Seems like they recommend r48 for the area. I'm not that worried about getting to that exact number. I'd just like to cover it up.

The guy at home depot and I walked through the calcs on the back of the bags there and figured it up to be about 2 pallets worth or 90 bags for the house. But I don't know what R-value that was supposed to provide.

Has anyone had problems relating from too much insulation?

Blow over batts is fine.

Just make certain that if you have eave vents, the opening from the eave to the attic space is not obstructed.

And finding wires is no problem. Just have to dig a bit.

Make "flags" out of coat hangers for your wires. Mark what they are and put one at each end of a run or at a turn or junction.

Yep, have the vents in place already which is definitely one of the things that makes me interested. Lowers the workload a bunch not having to go around to each space between the rafters.
