Hi all, new guy here.
My first question, after lurking for awhile, how do you keep peg board hardware from falling out when removing tools?
Thanks,
Jerry

Most hardware kits come with plastic retainers made just for that issue. They clip in the two adjacent holes. Off to google to find you a pic.

EDIT: here you go

or if you have the layout you want and dont plan on changing it often, and little clear silicone works wonders.

Some of the hooks are one-size-fits-all and are made for 1/8" OR 1/4". I think they tend to be iffy when used with 1/4" pegboard. The hooks made specifically for 1/4" pegboard stay put better.

Or a small wood screw.

McMaster Carr has really cool hook sets that use a stubby screw to hold them in place.

Bingo. Get the 1/4" pegs.

I have these and they work great, they are easy to put on and they keep the hooks in place but they are still easy to move or rearrange unlike glue or something more permanent.
