Best price on harbor freight 44 Lower??

I see harbor has a series two 44 inch lower now. I have not got coupons lately and was wondering what the best price was. Need a toolbox for work. Thanks

Correct. Only what they sometimes call super coupons, that are just for that item can be used. 20 and 25% off coupons are not usable. The 44" box has been replaced with a 44" that is 22"deep. If you find the old one it is just old stock, being cleared out. They are probably mostly all gone.

I never said anything about 20% or 25% coupons for boxes. I simply said sometimes coupons pop up for them.

How can you guys stand that lever over on the right side?

You can't pull the drawer open from anywhere along the drawer handle; you have to release that lever on the far right side first.

I wonder that too. I go to the HF expecting to get a 5 drawer cart, but I can’t seem to get comfortable with that latch location.

I hope you both know it is very easy to bypass that latch lock. Do not let that keep you from getting a nice tool cart for 200. Heck they even have multi colors now

I waited and waited, then when it did go $20 my local stores sold out of them, so I waited some more.

For the trouble to save a few $$ or so, just go get it. It's an awesome chest for the money.

I picked one up for $439 a month or so ago with toolbox-specific coupon.

No latches. Just pull from anywhere.

It's a bear to unload solo...

The drawer latches on the 5 drawer cart are to prevent the drawers from opening prematurely while a mechanic is moving it around the shop!

I was in HF to buy some consumables last week and about pissed myself looking at this box. My number one complaint about the first gen one I have is how shallow the drawers are and how some of my bigger tools can't be placed front to back. This changes things.

It does if you just buy the lower and/or upper. The new narrow drawer add on or narrow missing one drawer cabinet **** and that is all there is to it. They didn't need to make them narrower they could have just made them deeper and the old size instead they made them worse.

I agree with you and wish my drawers were deeper. However, now I can just save for a 72" box with 22" drawers and stop worrying about it.

I took them off as soon as I opened the crate on my 56", if your box stays put the detents hold them closed just fine.

I was at the Harrisburg PA store yesterday. They had a new 44 bottom with a sign on it that said open box for $388. Wasn't anything obviously wrong with it.
