Can't find these socket organizers anymore

Hi guys, been looking for something else to help organize my sockets. I was hoping for something that held both long and short versions of the socket, and indicated the size. These came up in a search, but I can't seem to find them anywhere anymore. As a bonus, they're magnetic, and hold the socket drive side down (which I like and is only a personal preference).

Any leads? Any places that sell the same thing just with a different brand?

Harbor Freight has similar (Not green, not magnetic) socket organizers.

Loads of different companies make them. I probably have 4 or 5 different brands. I have some from Hansen, HF, Rural King and Tractor Supply that I can name.

But they are not magnetic like the one the OP was looking for.

The one the OP linked doesn't have posts that stick up all the way through. It shows it holding extensions and swivel adapters and the like that Hansen-style trays don't do and it can stick vertically on the side of your box. The magnets look like they work pretty good too.

Very interesting concept. I like them a LOT more than Hansen-style trays. I'd not seen any like this before. Gave it a google and unfortunately doesn't look like they exist anywhere anymore. They do have a Facebook page but I think it's not been updated in a couple years (I don't do Facebook).

Closest thing to those I can think of would be the Westling Billet aluminum socket trays or maybe VIM Magrails.

You covered everything I wanted to say, before I could come back here and post :)

I saw the VIM and the Westling ones and considered those too, but these seemed like what I wanted. Still figuring out what I want since it doesn't seem like these can be had right now.

Magnetic tool holders have always driven me nuts. They make the tool on them semi magnetic, just enough to pick up metal shavings and chips. Drives me batty.

Yeah I thought about that. The only magnetic ones I know of that would prevent that are the VIM Magrails. They use two magnets so each socket or tool on them is held by the opposing poles of each which prevents the tool from itself becoming magnetized (or so the creator explained - he's a GJ member). I believe they also can be stuck to a vertical surface (maybe even upside down iirc) but not sure about that. Someone who has them could tell you. They are a beautiful design, but they are also quite expensive. I'd luv to use them but they're too rich for my wallet.

I assume you mean inventor/owner of Westling Machine?

Just saying because the inventor of the VIM Magrail is a member here (magtl) and his most recent post was 4-15-18.

FWIW here's one of his posts explaining how VIM Magrails do not magnetize tools:

The Magrail TL does not magnetize your sockets. Its design allows each socket to contact two magnets. One magnet north up one magnet south up allowing the flux lines to flow through the socket from one magnet to the other. This arrangement reverses every two inches the length of the Magrail TL. This should be kept in mind if you remove the magnets from your Magrail TL so they can be reinstalled properly.

No, of the Green Tool socket holders that the original poster was asking about.

The inventor/owner's wife messaged me back. She told me he passed away, and that she's trying to sell on her own now.

Damn, where you able to get a set ordered from her? Glad to hear she kept the business going. Kinda sad to think about really. I saw another post here talking about all our tools being gone through/passed down/sold and then this guy having passed away has got me kinda a mess haha

So Im assuming she still has some stock to get rid of?? If so I'd be interested but if the only way of purchasing then is FB, count me out.

What I'm really confused about is "HereToLearn"'s post above. Is that the wife?

As it says at the bottom of that post, it's quoted from the linked 'About' Facebook page that also includes contact info which is how I gather those above were able to get a response from the wife.
