First a quick note about the service and support from Justin and his team. Spot on, all the way through from inquiring about options and purchase/shipping. I closed on a new house halfway across the country from where I currently live, and I needed the kit to arrive in a 1 or 2-day window as I was planning on being at the house for 6 days before flying out. In addition to the garage floor, I was planning on window blinds, painting the basement vertical walls, and quite a bit of other "prep" items for when we move in next month. Justin and his team we perfectly accommodating and the products showed up on the 17th and 18th perfectly. Exceptional customer service.
Now on to the pictures. I started with a floor buffer / diamabrush pad rented from Home Depot. I went with the full day rental because I wasn't confident I could get the prep completed in a 4-hour time block, with 30 minutes on each to get to/from the store. Here are some pictures of the progression. Starting with grinding, then a few of the base coat. The night shot is base coat plus flake only, then to a half-way shot of base + clear.
Finally some clear complete and then pictures of the work on the steps and stem wall, and finally a few on Wednesday after the 72 hours of curing w/ the Q5 parked in her new home.
Long story short. I have worked with a few 2-part epoxy solutions in two previous garages, and from an ease of installation standpoint, I don't think I will ever go back. Solvent odor was gone after 48 hours, and was never too strong. Great experience working with Justin and I am looking forward to many years of use from the floor. Now to get the walls insulated, finished, and painted this summer.
