Well my seasonal outdoor fleabee market opener was on the 19th and 20th but it rained both days so really nothing much came about from that.

But the 3 day Memorial Day Weekend was pretty kick@*** especially on Saturday I was so phenomenally busy and had record high sales

But had more rain Sunday and was still wet and overcast early Monday which gave me some time to check out some of the other vendors. My vise guy wasn't there this week he went to small engine show instead, and not one other had a vise this week that I seen.

So I got an Eagle 33F oil can with flex spout, a brand new never used Craftsman Kromedge 8" Dado stack in its case, and a like new Marshalltown Mud Hawk all for less than $10.00. I paid more for oil can than I did for the saw blades and hawk :lol_hitti.

Same guy also had SK and some old Craftsman sockets. along with tons of other **** he was taking a $1.00- $3.00 for just about anything he had :D

So I am there steady for the next 20+ weeks. I have feelers out with all my pals. for different used items though I do sell new tools as part of my setup I may augment a table with used stuff too.

Maybe we can keep one thread going with this summer's Flea Mkt finds!

Well another weekend Flea mkt for me but I guess nobody else much gets out on here :D

So again I was real busy especially so on Saturday which is usual the better of the two days for sheer numbers...all one day wonder vendors.

Now this one other general auto type tool guy only hits my market like twice season once in the Spring and once in the Fall (usually does car shows all summer) and I remember last year he had a bunch of loose wrenches, was the same place I got my Herbrand deep 35MM socket then. And so I got poke around more today and he still had all these polished Herbrand angle wrenches loose and mixed in with some others, Was 11mm 13mm 14mm 15mm 17mm & 3/4". The 6 for $15

Ya I know no 10mm or 12mm.

I haven't ever owned any angle wrenches over my entire career up to this point. Just basic style open ends. So anyhow have some now. :lol_hitti

Was more duplicates of the rest though he said they broke up the sets sometime ago

DFB...Are you buying and selling on the same day?

Yea I am anchor vendor at this particular market along with a few others. I'm there every single weekend of the season with my two setups, We discount various mechanics tools and other hardware store type stuff like paint brushes, gloves, yard and garden and I have all types of greenhouse plants to sell.

So far most "deals" I find :D are my personal purchases, though a few of us buy, sell and trade items too for resale

I posted this in its own thread, here, but here's a pic of my Craftsman block grinder. I bought this and a handful of other tools for $24.

Well didn't really "find" anything this weekend and all I got was a paperback novel detailing the experiences of 30 vets during the years of Vietnam. If it's even half as good as the Magnificent Bastards I will be satisfied.

So vise guy had 4 offerings nothing I was interested 3 small vises a Columbian without its swivel, a Dunlop, a very small Craftsman, probably Jap but didn't even really look and a very abused smaller Athol that had been welded on the rear jaw low to the fixed base. He did tell me he sold it for $15 so he was happy wouldn't even know what he paid for it was probably free I bet.

Other than that not much happening Dads Day weekend and was brutally hot.

Well I will add my latest Flea Market to this thread. I posted it over in the vises of GJ but it just got lost with the continuous bantering between certain postings.

Hadn't found much of anything really this Summer at all...it's been wet and a lot vendors won't come out if there is rain in the forecast.

But my vise guy had this Athol 90, same guy that found me the Athol 61 3-1/2. They are very similar in design with the 61 being much larger overall.

Really like the wording on the 90 though! :D

You can see the Athol 61 in the first photo between the Reed and the Littlestown on my display bench. There is also a Starrett, several Craftsman's and a Columbian and what's believed to be a Miller's Falls.

Well my annual Flea Marketing gig is coming to a close for season once again and the upcoming weekend is the final one for 2018

Since I have a rainy day off today to catch up on a few things, I guess I'll add some of my last few Flea mkt finds (which includes a new GF ;) )

Yup seems I can find just about anything I want at the flea mkt!

As you know...I got vices :D

And to support my vise habit, a Liitlestown 140 with pipe jaws and a really cool Milwaukee Tools 808.

I had opened a thread on the Milwaukee to find out more about it but nada

Thanks for sharing that above link. I may peruse that if I ever find time.
I know good finds can be found many places. In fact home owner sales may actually be better for a buyer than the seller being many sellers are either woefully uniformed, simply decluttering their life without looking for value or just simply strapped for cash
IMO garage sales and Flea market vending is not exactly the same.

I've worked my market for 10 years now and I honestly detest the homeowner tag sale garage sellers that come out to our market only on the major holiday weekends dragging all their stuff that mostly should be in the dump. The one day wonders that clutter up the field with useless junk no one wants and often leave their **** behind when they leave.

Unscrupulous people that go so far to rip off little kids with broken toys and actually take their money. Twice I had to get the money back for my occasional little helpers I pay. People like that detract from the integrity of the real market sellers.
