I am getting ready to install rustbullet on my garage floor this weekend. 2 coats of the base and 1 coat of clear with antiskid are planned. The garage floor extends maybe 6-8" past the garage door into the elements. Originally I was just planning on doing rustbullet all the way to the edge. But I was watching a youtube video and the guy installing it said he did that, but he shouldn't have. Rustbullet looks to be some heavy duty stuff. But will it not survive under the elements? I am in the northeast, so it will see snow.
If I should not do the rustbullet to the edge, i was thinking of masking off the outside with the garage door closed, then opening it to paint. So the rust bullet will be under the garage door and stop just before it is exposed. Is this good, or should I have the rustbullet stop just before it goes under the garage door?
How is it pulling up the tape after putting down 3 coats of rust bullet? The stuff looks hard when it dries. Will I be able to pull the tape easily after 3 coats, or will I have to pull up the tape after each coat so I'll be able to get the tape up?
The garage is 24w x 32d. So I was planning on working 8' sections back to front (working 4x4 sections at a time), so 3 stripes back to front. That way when the first stripe is tack free (whereas the 3rd may still be tacky) I can start the next coat. I did buy the spiked shoes for when I'm laying down the 2nd and 3rd coats.
TIA
