Woodford seems to dominate the market it seems like that anyway. I think I'm going to try a arrowhead and use a shark bite to tie it in. Almost makes me wanna get some PEX n the m12 expander lol

Yah try that, arrowhead seems well liked based on the reviews I've read. The M12 expander and a roll of pex makes plumbing not so bad tho

Yeah it really doesn't or so it seems, I'm sure there will still be issues to run into. Altho it seems fun lol but I can't say I trust myself with a torch sweating pipes under my house

Pulled the stem n ran water through it and measured flow that way n got 7gpm after putting it back together got 5.5gpm so I definitely have it narrowed to the sillcock. But I just got to thinking I'll be running 1" supply to the sprinklers from the spigot when I am not using the 1" pump from the river water. Where the water enters my supply, it's made out of 2" PVC with 3 valves for expansion to 3 zones. Those will be 1" poly to the sprinkler run and the line attached to the sprinklers will also be 1" I may have to end up using each one of those valves for a zone if my gpm from spigot isn't enough. Well I guess trial n error await

Here is the pictures of the hack job in the front, totally defeating the purpose of frost free sillcock20180603_072636.jpg20180603_072641.jpg

Well I finally got around to fixing this. Got an 8" shark bite spigot 1/2" shark bite coupler and a 5' piece of PEX. Hardest part was crawling under the house to battle the black widows. Also was able to eliminate two 90 elbows and just have a straight shot to the spigot now

I don’t know if it flows any better, but it looks a TON better.
The fact that this one doesn't have a split down the bottom where the seal is made makes a world of difference lol

Actually no the hose was not left attached. If you look at the original picture of the old one it was installed almost upside down so the water was never able to drain out as the opening was facing upwards
