first thing first

I DO NOT WORK AT A SHOP WHERE THE LOCAL SNAP ON GUY VISITS

now that that is out of the way, my FHLF80 head was being super floppy so i was going to try to bend the spring washer out to try to get some improvement... well the threads on the bolt stripped out

the thread on the handle looks like it should be alright but i want to run a thread chaser through there and call snap-on to get a repair kit... but i can't find info on the correct thread, the old bolt is thoroughly fuckered, and i don't want to blindly try different sizes of thread chaser

if anyone happens to know off hand it would be helpful

I called Snap On customer service today. Ashley answered my call within seconds and had an instant solution for me. Total call time was under 2 minutes. Just saying...

Can't help you with the thread size, but why not just call SO Customer Service? The half dozen times I've called have been good.

Threads are 1/4-28

I have a spare flex handle sitting on my kitchen counter I'm looking to sell, so it was easy for me to check.

that got it... had some left over thread from the bolt that got pushed out by the thread chaser... threads in the handle are perfectly fine
