Well, I struck out on the Ridgid drill combo pack.

If anyone finds one and would be willing to buy one for me, I would really appreciate it!

4pc Compact Li/Ion Combo Kit - SKU 658-560 - was $248/ NOW $149

I picked up my combo after work, luckily it was paid for and safely tucked away behind the counter, because there was nothing left in the sale bin. The Tool guy said that they couldn't even change the price tags fast enough this morning because the tools were literally flying off the shelves.

If you are there check out battery prices as well. On the way out I noticed that the $79 Makita 14.4V batteries were marked down to $27. The reason I bought the Dewalt was because I refused to pay about $80 each to replace the dead batteries for my 10 year old Makita. So now I have two Dewalt batteries and two brand new $27 Makita batteries charging.

Thanks again for the heads up!!!

I saw this last night on another forum, I ran to the home depot by work at lunch and picked up 2 Dewalt 18v drivers for 69 each, two Milwaukee angle grinders for 39 each, and a Ryobi 5 piece kit for 49.99. Not sure what I'll keep or what I'll take back. My father already claimed one of the angle grinders. They also took my 10% lowes coupon so I got everything for a bit cheaper.

I also had the guy do a search on their system and he found some table saws, the one store had their display model which was damaged and another one had it new in the box. The guy at the store by work said the one that was new was 499 and the floor model was 299. I had them put the floor model on hold and I bought it about a hour ago for 234 since it was damaged (chipped granite by fence and broken fence locking handle) and I had a coupon. It wasn't until I got home that I realized he told me the wrong price on the new one for some reason i was thinking the price on the table saw was 399. I called over to the other store that had one and it just sold for 299. Even though i got the floor model for 234, I wish i got the new one for 299 so I didn't have to mess dealing with their warranty department for the handle and finding some epoxy for the chipped corner. All in all this was a great sale. I want to build some cabinets for my house and the table saw will help a lot. I didn't think I could afford one before.

You paid $377.00? The reason I ask is because they were marked down to $299 at all three stores I went to. Take your receipt back and get another $100 off.

Glad that I could help!

I couldn't get in on the deal myself, but it satisfies me to know that some of you guys that will actually use the tools (as opposed to reselling) had much better luck.

I agree. Head back tomorrow or on Thursday and see if they'll do a price adjustment. If not, head on over to another store that has already adjusted their prices. Worst case scenario, $377 is still an excellent price for a $650 saw!!

Just in case anybody missed these deals check your local craigs list mine is loaded with tool kits this morning most of them marked up $50.00 to $100.00 still good deals compared to the original sticker prices but funny to me how people will buy the stuff up just to resell it . I got my tools to use and replace my aging Ryobi tools I have been using .

My store acted as if they had no idea about any of these deals, and they didn't have any of them posted or advertised nor did any of the kits scan for less than normal price.

The only store by me that had stock did not have sale prices. So I bought a kit and drove to a store that already marked down and did a return re-buy. The cashier was happy to do the adjustment.

I called the York, PA store yesterday and they had a few things marked down... I cut out from work and checked it out. I ended up buying two grinders... $39 each. one milwaukee and one rigid... the rest of the stuff that was left were ok deals, but not fabulous deals.... I think the morning rush got most of the combo deals....

Thanks Stuey! I got a 2-pack of black and decker 4.5" grinders for $19. They had one table saw and one dewalt 4-pack left, plus a bunch of smaller sets. They were good about attaching sale stickers on everything...

Is that Milwaukee grinder mad in China? I thought I saw that on the box last night and decided to pass.

People are buying these things up to resell. I have mixed feelings about that. I bet by the end of today there won't be anything left to find as this kind of news spreads fast. Most stores didn't start with more than a couple of each item to begin with. I'd like to see what is replacing all of these bargains. The Milwaukee miter saw is still a current model as far as I can tell, maybe not a fast seller at HD?

Yes it is one of the newer made in China models. If it is an all red box it is new stock and usually not made in the USA. The miter saw I picked up is made in Taiwan. Opened it up last night and the quality of the finish and hinges/slides is impeccable. It was packed very well. I haven't used it yet so that is the true test.

I stopped at a HD on my wy home lastnight and didn't find any of the 4 or 6peice Dewalts left, so I went tonight after work to another store and found a 6 peice bu *** was taped up. So I had them open it up and sure enough missing both batteries and charger... Just some part time older guy there so they took my number and will let me know what they can do.

I went to a home depot that had the items but not the sales. I told them to call the other to ask about the sale. They did, and they gave me the sale price

Got a call a little after 9pm and it was HD and they said they have two batteries and a charger. If I get up early I'm going to try and shoot up there before work to grab it and see if I can get it cheaper because it was opened and returned.

So with these items selling for roughly 50% off, is HD losing money or just breaking even on this clearance? Does anyone know how much HD or any other store pays for similar items? My guess would be just breaking even as they probably want at least a 100% markup.

Picked up these angle grinders today for $49.99. Two in the box, went halvesies with a pal of mine and each got one for $25ish.

They had the same grinder (#1375) on the shelf in the tool aisle for $79.99 for one.

Proof positive that we are getting bent over on a day to day basis by the box stores.
