Not having the time to smooth out the rust areas it came out a little rough. I sanded the best I could and used rust converter. I am not the best painter but I like it well enough.
Actually, it looks amazing.
My dad used to tell me "sometimes good enough is good enough". When I was a kid I always thought that was kind of strange until I grew up and started doing projects on my own. Sometimes you have to know when the work you do is good enough to get whatever it is in a nice looking usable condition so that you can use it and enjoy it now.
It is kind of why I like the show "Garage Squad". They take a project vehicle that is just sitting in pieces and help the owner put it back together and get it running. If something needs a bit of paint, they do that. But mostly they just get the project running again so the owners can enjoy it.
Its never perfect, or pristine, or a garage queen. It looks good, works good, and is enjoyable to the owner. Kind of like your parts box. You did it yourself, got it looking good enough (I actually think better than that) and now you are going to be able to use it and enjoy it!
Good job!
