As I have seen posted, there is a $60 back on $60 online, but I thought I would check the store anyhow, sure enough, the signs I believed I saw before were still there. So I bought >$60 of products to attempt to combine the $20 back on $40 as well.

My receipt only shows the $60 offer. The details say the first installment of $20 will be posted the following day, but by the time I reached my truck I had an extra $20 in my SYW account. I don't know which offer this represents, but I will see if I get another installment tomorrow.

I also received the text, but the link is not valid. Anyone able to actually get the link to work?

Looks like the link in the text about the $20 off $40+ in-store offer is just supposed to go to the Kmart local ad page. You don't need to click on it to make the offer work, though you may want to check for end date etc. Go to kmart.com and click the weekly/local ad link at the very top, should get you to where the text's link would have.

So finally got a SYW screw up in my favor....I had issues with the $125 back on $125 offer and SYW had be refund and repurchase and then still had to email [email protected], well the greatness is that I'm not getting the 10k points, I'm getting 10k points 4 times. I hope this continues for the next 10 installments of that offer, I'll have a full set of Bully Tools.

Something wrong with the SYW points model the past 2 days, but in my favor this time.

I got $24 in points yesterday; my points history shows that it's from a refund from returned items from an order on June 19th. Funny thing is I didn't have an order on the 19th, and haven't had a return in the past 5 months.

Then, today, got $25 more in points, was due $10 for the $125 back in installments offer. But, it gave me $15 and $10.

So, I combined with the $5 freecash offer, and got 3 pair of Levis 511's free, using $71.40 of freecash and points for $0.00 OOP.

Something's wrong. I can't see the freecash offer in-cart, and just noticed the freecash offer does not appear on the SYW, Sears, or Kmart website. It normally automatically loads when I open the email, but I just tried clicking all over the email to open the links.

Yea, isn't that always the case in the last year? You can use points to bring it down to the minimum amount but that's it? Did it used to be different?

No, it has always been that way, at least for the last 10 years or so.

I'd say closer to 5 years it really slowed down. A few point making deals have occurred in the last few years, but not nearly as regular as it used to be. The "money making" points offers were how I first got into SYW. Last point maker deal was Christmas time, albeit through Kmart. On a lot of the older deals the only stipulation was that you paid at least $.01 out of pocket.

I was hoping to use it with $20 SAE crowfoot set + $5 filler, but afraid the price may increase while waiting for the freecash to be loaded, so I bought that set without freecash.

I really should not complain here. I spent a few hour in the afternoon organizing my tools. Good thing is I am fortunate getting all of these for next to nothing, bad thing is I am running out of space to store or hang them on pegboards.

The specific question related to OOP spending for a particular offer. Points have not counted for OOP for at least the 10+ years I have been tracking this. For example, if an offer is "spend $30 get $30 in points" the $30 must be money spent, not points.

The $0.01 OOP was to get certain other types of offers to work.

I don't think everyone will get a "new" freecash offer. My response was telling me how many points I had "+$12 FREECASH in points." Turns out those $12 were from a $10 off $100 anything & $2 off $2 in apparel, both of which I already had in my account.

Some people on SD are finally seeing the $25 Masterpass deal work without customer service intervention. It takes several days for the points back to show up, but IS working on orders with less than $25 paid OOP. Definitely worth a try now if you have a Mastercard (I used to, but the issuer converted it to a Visa a few years ago ).

Yea, I posted my experience on the other Sears thread about the 3ish day wait for the point to show up. Also you don't have to have a mastercard, masterpass allows you to register most any credit card to use through their payment system. I used my discover.

Someone who posted on SD yesterday said their Masterpass promo points expire 'at the end of July', which would be a 14-day expiration (17th to 31st). Same for you?

This offer definitely wasn't working automatically for anyone for the first couple weeks or so, but they seem to have gotten caught up on the earlier purchases in the last couple days (some were waiting over a week), so hopefully just a 3-day wait from now on.

OMG I didn't realize you could use other non-mastercard cards with masterpass! I looked and it shows you can use AMEX so I'm going to try that next order I place. Would have been nice to use it in conjunction with my $30 off $30 order, but I'm sure something else will pop up soon...

Does it really gain you much anymore, in trial mode? (Paid members still get $3 points back each month, AFAIK.) Just slightly faster shipping to-home on some items, is all I've seen in a long time, since they made Max's minimum order size the same as regular non-Max free shipping. And there's even some minor downsides to having Max: if you ever feel inclined to mess around with ordering from an in-store kiosk (for free shipping to home on smaller orders), according to SD reports, if you have Max you can't combine a coupon or freecash offer with the kiosk's free shipping, but if you cancel your Max trial you can.
